-Comment: I 'm not sure, this actress looks similar to Elizabeth Taylor (1932-2011, R.I.P.) but according to the dress, I think Elizabeth Taylor is on the right pic on the left. Must be Juanita Quigley (born 1931) in a white sailor dress, blue dress, blue collar, 3 stripes, dark stockings. I have also seen Taylor in a similar dress on a publicity pic for that movie but perhaps it's also Quigley.
Sadly I don't remember/don't know this complete movie yet and have to check it again next broadcasting. But looks very good.

Novel by Enid Bagnold (published 1935), directed by Clarence Brown and won 2 Oscars. Also starring Mickey Rooney, Jackie "Butch" Jenkins and Terry Kilburn (see also Lord Jeff, rating 10). 123 minutes in Technicolor and rated G. There is also a TV series and a 2003 movie which I also have to check.

I'm not sure if I would like this movie, I'm not a fan of Taylor nor Rooney and I assume few good or medium sailor dress scenes. Jenkins is still very young here (see also "Summer Holiday 1948" with him in a white sailor suit).
Maybe this is just a typical "horse movie". There are other even more famous ones. I think I've seen other girls in dresses with a collar, but not sure if other actors in real sailor suits/dresses. Rating 5-6 for now.
