Completely on YouTube but unfortunately in that bad image quality. Romanian title "Codin". Best screenplay Award in Cannes. Novel by Panait Istrati.

I like white collars but the suit is very dark. I can't say much more, as I only have checked it at high speed. Could be better.

-Comment: I think this must be 11 yo Juliusz Wyrzykowski (1946-2002) as 9 / 10 yo King Macius in a short white sailor suit including cap and white stocking and shoes. White collar, 2 thick blue stripes. Also in aristocratic green clothes and crown.

I only have checked it at high speed but only found very few scenes at about 43 minutes. Completely on YouTube. English title King Matthew I. Famous 1923 novel by Janus Korczak. I only knew the animated series and movie.

Interesting plot and maybe some other historic clothing, but for these short sailor suit scenes rating 3-4 only.

Exclusive pic#45 sailor suit boys Denmark

This photo showing 3 older brothers from Holstebro, Denmark and their 3 sisters.Two boys wearing sailor suits. Note the very short neckline on front, so I assume very long collar flaps on the back. Additionally they wear striped dickeys. Collars have 5 stripes. And note the very large necklines of the girls.

First I didn't know their nationality and it's hard to guess by just seeing their faces of those vintage photos.The photo is faded and I first considered to convert it to real black & white but I want to maintain the warm color and the blond hair of the boys. Sometimes it's hard to identify if some sports are freckles or dirt on the pics.

I can't say much more about it. Looks like 1900s-1910s and they look quite happy (except the girl on the left). As usual high res by clicking/at Picasa.

-Comment: Frederick Alexander (died at age 22) in a long dark blue sailor suit. Dark blue or black pants. Short collar. I only noticed a very brief scene at about 7 minutes. 60 minutes in total. Episode s1e11 "Tell the King the Sky is Falling".

I recently checked this version from my Alexei Tsarevich and Rasputin film list. Maybe one of the worst versions.

Maybe there are also other episodes with some historical clothes of interest, but I only have checked this one (at high speed). Typical boring 70s UK history series.Completely on YouTube.

-Comment: At least a boy or 2 in a good long sailor suit, typical blue collars, both pics each on the right, one with a red hat (also one or two younger boys, some actor or character? playing piano, see DVD cover, looks like the boy in pic 1, and a young woman with a rare sailor collar. Probably more interesting clothes, maybe uniforms and breeches of the 30s, maybe even Lederhosen? Period covering 1910-1945. 195 minutes. DVD in the series "Große Geschichten #82". There are lots of other interesting movies in this series (Jokehnen, rating 6, Väter und Söhne, rating 9, Heldenfrühling, no entry yet, Nirgendwo ist Poenichen, no entry yet, Jauche und Levkojen, no entry yet, and some more).

I don't remember this movie (aired in 2 parts) and have to recheck it later the next broadcasting. The main family has 5 kids but I only know of 2 young boys, the rest might be grown-up.On a book cover (old version) is a very young boy in a short suit and a preteen boy with a uniform and high hat as pictured in pic 1.

Novel trilogy by Julius Tinzmann, directed by Fritz Umgelter ("Die Rote Zora (1979)")

Rating 5-6 for now. But there are more handsome boys in other movies.

-Comment: Some boys, girls (both also blond) and grown-ups in medium blue sailor suits, long white pants and white collars with 3 medium blue stripes. Also white sailor caps. One man while putting on his suit has his collar flap on his front (pic 3).

Looks like a very interesting movie with handsome kid actors. I can't say much more yet and have to check the complete movie.

This is a series of movies starting in 1953. This is the 6th part of the third generation. I have seen some of the prequels (not showing sailor suits) probably with partly the same actors (but much younger then). Funny family entertainment. Funny tuba playing uncle Anders (Jess Ingerslev, 1st pic).

Rating 6-7 for now. I like white collars.
