-Comment: Julien Ciamaca as 11 yo Marcel Pagnol (pictured top left pic on right with his younger brother), Benoit Martin as younger Marcel (pic top right) and Joris Molinas as Lili (pics below showing the end of the film) each in short blue sailor suits, short pants, short stockings and short collars with 3 stripes. Also a sailor and I think some men and perhaps boys in white sailor suits (supporting actors).

Also black school uniforms with white collars, white nightshirts and other clothing, but most of the time beige longer shorts.
The sailor suit Lili wears is a gift from Marcel and his one.

Very good French movie directed by Yves Robert, rated G, international title "My Father's Glory".
This is the first of 4 movies/novels followed by Le chateau de ma mère (plot is even better, see below). For the 3rd and 4th movie see entry "Le temps des secrets" (rating 8, also with an 11 yo Marcel, a boy with a white collar and a girl in a sailor dress).
 
I like these French movies with rural settings (here Provence). There are also some good scenes like the famous hose splashing scene or lighting cigarettes at each other.

This movie was/is one of my all time favourite movies, but sailor suit scenes are rather few, mainly at the begining starting with the younger Pagnol.
Only one good scene of 11yo Pagnol outside and some scenes inside, mainly shown from behind and in dimmed light. So for sailor suit scenes only rating 6-7 (combined with film quality/plot). For the even better sailor suit scenes of the 3rd movie see
