There are new remastered uploads from ClassicFlix. Some are from 35mm prints and in very good quality (considering the age of the reels). Pic is from the silent movie Young Sherlocks (1922) with kids boys and girls in white and blue sailor suits.

Few good scenes. Most of interest the sailor suit of the doll. Based on a podcast.

I first found 2 short clips then 5 short clips on YouTube what could almost be the complete movie. But later also one complete official clip. Director Tamela D'Amico. Quite late 1946 setting.

In fact I was searching for the 1999 Italian movie "Volare!".

Also uniforms.

I found this by coincidence on IMDb and still have to check the full movie. I assume few good scenes though. Pics from the trailers. Rating ~4 for now.

Update: Almost Angels (1962) Lederhosen

 

I have roughly checked the full movie. Quite disappointing and rather few sailor suit scenes, one is at the end. At 53 minutes I found this scene with a boy in grey Lederhosen or shorts with suspenders. I think also another boy in longer, brown Lederhosen? Mainly or only from a distance. The image quality is quite poor and I can't identify the fabric.

As announced for an unknown reason I missed this. I heard of this movie before and maybe watched it many years ago. I haven't seen it recently completely. I also mentioned the German title in an 16mm post.

German title: Ein Gruß aus Wien. Disney-Land s11e20+21. Starring Peter Weck.

Nice, typical blue collars and white stripes. (Nowadays the collars are lighter blue and the stripes thinner, as shown in Silk Road).

I have some other version, search for Sound of Music. And the original movies Die Trapp-Familie (rating 10) starring Michael Ande. And die Trapp-Familie in Amerika (I own both on DVD).
