Pic 2 showing another angle from a scene from my previous post showing the front of the boy in the light sailor suit and the normal blue collar, also showing his scarf. It also shows the dark blue suit with many thicker stripes and the boy with the complely white collar with a long collar flap.

Most sailor collars are rather short in this series. And all or most sailor suits have long pants.

During research for my unknown Italian coming-of-age movie I found this mini series (6 episodes) on YouTube. Unfortunately half of them have been deleted. But still many boys in very interesting sailor suits. I have seen many movies featuring sailor suits but this is maybe the one with the most boys in different sailor suits. Some boys are handsome. Interesting sailor collars. Makes rating 10. I can't show all of them. There are white, light blue, medium blue, dark blue and other sailor collars. With or without stripes, 2, 3 or more stripes. Different styles of suits, collars and dickeys and also caps and straw hats.

Pic 1: note the boy on the right in a completetly white sailor collar without stripes on the right. There are also at least 2 others in white collar with stripes. The boy in the dark blue long suit is the same as on the last pic below. Short white collar flap on the rear with many thicker angled blue stripes. Matching stripes on the dickey.

Pic 2 showing a blue collar with a thicker stripe on the edge and 2 thinner stripes. Pic 3 showing a blue grey combination. Also another boy in an interesting suit and collar. Pic 4 is a white buttoned suit jacket and another rare light blue rectangled collar.

Famous novel "Dagli Appennini alle Ande" by Edmondo De Amicis. English title: Heart. There are around 20 more movies and series about this plot including animated series. I only remember the 1989 series starring Umberto Caglini but have to check the others.

Story 97: adjusting swim shorts

Again a bit off-topic but tight swim shorts are already historical and mainly worn in the 1980s and 90s. And the scene might be of interest.

I found this on one of my older hard discs searching for more of my unknown movies. Unfortunately I haven't found any more clues or better pics but I'm still searching online.

I haven't found any clips or pics of this one on the web, so I will share this. The scene is from the 2000 German short film "Fast nackt". I had this on VHS but probably not completetly. I think this is the only scene of interest. The main plot is about grown-ups.

The boy is sitting with other boys in an indoor swimming pool reading something. He stands up and first have to pull his legs of his swim shorts down and later have to adjust some more. Pulling the legs of underwear I have seen in L'enfant sage (see my bedroom blog) but that was due to wearing tight jeans over them lifting them up.

Later he is also standing on the diving board but on the side and from a distance. Swim shorts are maybe too tight especially for the 2000.

Very interesting that the mother put the white blouse with the blue sailor collar and scarf already attached over the head of her son. Sorry for the dark pics, I already tried to enhance them.

English title "Don't Look Back, My Son" and "My Son Don't Turn Round". Set in Zagreb during WWII.

Famous Croatian movie, but there are much better ones (involving sailor suits). I don't remember the complete movie but I think few (good) scenes. Scene pictured at 50 minutes.

Rating 2-3 for now.

Unknown 9: Italian coming-of-age drama 1980s 90s

I'm searching for another, probably Italian movie, maybe coming-of-age film. Filmed and set in the (late ?) 1980s or early 90s?

I only remember this scene. 2 darkhaired boys, around 13. They are on flat stone steps or staircase on a hill at a typical seaside setting with white stones. And maybe a stone wall on the background.

The left boy is cool (showoff) and said he has a girl or did it or something like that. The right boy don't believe it and said you don't even have pubic hair. Without hesitation the left boy dropped his shorts (maybe dark, brown or grey or dark blue, not bright color) in one turn to the ground and I think lift up his shirt a little to show that he has. No details shown. The other boy isn't much impressed.

Maybe later swimming scenes with some boys at a harbour or beach with cliffs, view from top.

I checked about 10 or 20 movies that looked liked this setting but haven't found it yet. I try to find some better pics ressembling this scene.

Update: I still haven't found it 2 months later. But I made a better pic and listing similar movies which I have checked completetly or partly.

Unknown 8: French comedy film

A bit off topic, although 1980s or 90s (tight) shorts are historical clothes as well. I'm searching the title for this obviously French movie (feature film) for more than 10 years now. Maybe someone can help.

The boys talking about the size of their "private parts". In that hotel (?) they went into a conference room with men and women and force with a gun that the men open their pants what they did. One asked how this is possible with their hands up. But shortly after that they were cought by a man lifting them up.

I think I have seen it in the early 90s, movie can be from the (late) 80s. Boys might be older than it seems. One talked about the size aged 13 (?) The grown ups might be gangsters or more likely police men as the gun hangs outside the room. So it could also be a crime or action film or teen romance, but I only remember this short scene.

I'm also searching for an Italian movie (no pic but memory), coming soon.

Had been aired yesterday. I have seen it earlier but missed that scene and yesterday I couldn't record the best scene showing the long collar. Pic 1 on the left, pic 2 on the right.

Quite funny family film but I don't like it. Novel by Cornelia Funke.

It's very rare for a boy wearing a sailor suit in a modern movie. Although short scenes I somehow like that. I will recheck it later.

Update: Meine Kindheit… am Rhein

About 4 quite good scenes with boys in Lederhosen 1960s and maybe 1950s (and some more in speedos and one little boy in bib overalls). At the beginning a boy in a sailor suit (intro), I already have it at an earlier episode.

Pic 1 is just a photo. Pic 2 at 9 minutes is a moving clip in color. One boy on the right has H-style suspenders but they are loose. Suspenders are leather or nappa. Most or all Lederhosen buckskin.

One close up view (rear/side) view of a boy in smooth finish or nappa Lederhosen. I think without suspenders.

I think there's one more good b&w photo but I can't find it right now (or was it pic 1?). I will recheck it at slow speed later.

Typical episode of this documentary series about childhood of some celebrities. Here band Brings (cologne) and some other. Also filmed in Königswinter (Drachenfels).

I found this Disney movie by coincidence on YouTube but only checked it at high speed. It's only a girls class. Maybe there are some more supporting actors and I might have missed some scenes.
