Another handsome French communion boy. About 1900s. Collar with 5 stripes. Dickey 2 stripes, sleeve end 4 stripes. Typical white ribbon. Big eyes and short blond hair which is both quite uncommon. As usual high res on Picasa.

I think also a spanking scene. (Sorry no pics). The pic is taken from the official trailer. I also haven't found any DVD or other releases, so I have to wait for a TV broadcasting or if I found it somewhere on the web.

Probably quite interesting as I like classic movies. During research I also found other movies starring Dean Stockwell, including "The Secret Garden (1949)" (Stockwell in a wheelchair in a sailor suit, rating 6) and at least another movie with him showing at least sailors in sailor suits.

Info 169: Löwengrube s2e8

Only 2 notable scenes featuring these boys in ep "Wehrkraftzersetzung", mainly about the blond boy. No Lederhosen no sailor suits (so no pics). First in dark blue uniforms sitting in a movie theater (same as official clips). At the end in typical German uniform. Sitting and close up view, so not really showing his uniform shorts. The best for me is his short haircut. This boy is I think one of the Grandauer family. I still don't know his name and not sure if they are brothers, cousins or else. Maxi has a younger sister.

Most of this episode is about older teen boys, especially Manfred who looks similar like dark haired Maxi (first I thought that it's the same character and a later setting but it still must be around 1939/1940. At the end a New Years Day party, so probably turn of 1940. Exciting plot.

I don't know the complete movie and can't say much more. Set in Algeria in the 1930s. But probably rather few good scenes as these are obviously flashback scenes. Not sure about the amount.

Looks quite interesting, but I think I somehow prefer other movies (set in Europe/Germany/Austria). Bestselling novel by Yasmina Khadra. 162 minutes.

Rating 3-4 for now for sailor suit scenes. Doesn't look like real sailor suits. Not sure about the length of the collar. I have to check this again later.

I'm not sure. I haven't found a Duke of Wales and there are several Prince George. I think this is the later Duke of Kent (1902-1942). Pic from ca. 1910 or 1912.

Info 166: Update Löwengrube 2

No Lederhosen and no sailor suit scenes in the next episode "Vorsehungen" set in 1939. Only 2 brief scenes of 2 boys, I think brothers (or maybe cousins) in pajamas sitting at a table and in one bedroom.

The dark brown haired boy in Lederhosen (at least pic 1 and 2 in the main entry is called Maxi (I wasn't sure as there are also other grown ups called Max as well and the younger Maxi isn't credited). Rudi is a grown up and the other boy is not named here but is probably Ulrich Derse as Kurti who has medium/dark blond hair.

This rare movie had been aired today. None of these pics nor streaming clips previously on the web. 2 short scenes near the beginning. 1st pic 2 with Lederhosen but only this scene wearing a jacket. Later only this one boy wearing a sailor suit (which is very rare in the 50s). Scene at about 15 minutes. Aka "Du bist die schönste für mich!". Remake of the 1932 movie "Zwei in einem Auto" which I don't know at all and is probably also unavailable.

Typical German comedy film. There are much better ones. It's more a road movie.

Info 165: Update Löwengrube

I checked the official clips on YouTube and can confirm very good scenes of boys at school in long blue sailor suits as well. Also I saw a pic of a younger boy sitting in shorts or probably Lederhosen. Pics are from the DVD which covers ep. 13 and 16 and are set in the early 1930s. Maybe also of interest the first episodes which are set in the late 1890s. Sailor suits in Bavaria are quite rare, boys mostly wear Lederhosen. Most of this series seems to be set in the 1930s (maybe half of it). But it's possible that the good Lederhosen scenes (of the older boy pictured in the main entry) are only in some few episodes only. There are also older teen boys /young men in long breeches. And men in uniforms (of 1890s and 1930s) and Lederhosen as well.

I liked the older brother (Timmo Niesner) in the 80s although I don't like dark curly hair. Also starring Peter Weck as dad who also appeared in  Heimatfilms and comedy films of the 50s/60s.

Good and entertaining plots, but for these sailor dress scenes rating 2 only. I wouldn't buy the DVD although I like the 80s. Some episodes had recently been aired but I missed most of them.  The series I would rate about 5-6 today. Maybe there are some interesting other scenes.

Beige/light brown Lederhosen with patina which looks much shorter on pic 4. Also a Tyrolean hat. Men and a boy in longer darker Lederhosen (pic 3, or is this the same boy).

All pics are from the 1991 episode Sommerfrische (s2e6) which had been aired today and is set in 1939. Sorry, I don't know the other episodes yet (aired on Sundays at 12.00). I think I have to buy this DVD box which is quite expensive 8 DVD or 2x4.

I have to check for the names of the actors one might be Ulrich Derse as Kurti another is Maxi jr. (not Rudi). Also starring grown up Hans aka Hansi Kraus, Christiane Neubauer,  and others. Grimme Award and Bavarian TV Awards. Based on a radio play "Die Grandauers und ihre Zeit". Filmed in Bavaria.

Film aka "17. Juni 1953" and is about that rebellion of the same day. Filmed in Poland. I found this by coincidence on Google during research for the German title of my previous entry. I haven't found any better pics and no clips at all. The pic is an official movie pic taken from tvspielfilm.de. So I can't even say what kind of Lederhosen.

Maybe an interesting movie but I can't say much more yet and have to wait for the next broadcasting. Also starring Wotan Wilke Möhring and Thekla Carola Wied (on left). Directed by Thomas Freundner.

I'm not sure if this is really about a Werewolf or his father is just chased by the police and told his son he was persued by a Werewolf.

This is a rare movie and not to be confused with the 1924 movie of the same name. Aka "Flucht durch die Nacht" and "Steckbrief Z 48 (1932)". Also not to be confused with "Steckbrief Z 48 (1934) but there is also a related 1923 film "Le loup-garou". English titles: "Hunted Men" and Haunted People.

I missed some few parts at the beginning but don't expect much more there. Typical romance/comedy film/Heimatfilm. English title "An Angel on Wheels", French title "Mademoiselle Ange" (showing car racing in Nice, Romy Schneider is the guardian angel) also starring Jean-Paul Belmondo and Henri Vidal.

For this brief Lederhosen scenes only rating 2-3. But I don't like this movie either.

Exclusive pic#39 French Sailor suit boy 1931

A young teen boy in a short sailor suit in 1931. I think a French boy.

The sailor suit doesn't look clean and tidy like it's used to be. The shorts doesn't match the color of the blouse and that is outside the pants. Could even be his underwear. Short stockings. He looks quite happy.

This is a very tiny and thin photo paper. I can't say if that are several thin stripes or one thick white stripe on his collar.

I always wonder who had taken the pictures. Maybe a friend or his sister? And maybe this was taken at a hot summer day.

I can't say much more about this rare movie. Play or novel written in I think 1907 but set a bit earlier; turn of the century. Starring Sonja Ziemann, Lina Carstens, Günther Ballier and others.

I like long collar flaps. But I can't rate any higher than 2-3 for now.
