-Comment: Andij Greissel as Phillip the Small (left picture in the middle) in big Lederhosen with H-style suspenders (maybe buckskin with patina or almost smooth finish) and I think 2 other boys with buckskin Lederhosen with suspenders and some other without suspenders. One other boy with black smooth finish Lederhosen playing soccer (pic right).
Good DEFA film with a good plot about a magic whistle which can change the size of objects, cars and animals. Philipp is often shown with his cat, which is now a small Lion. Quite funny and also some scenes at school. Main character often in Lederhosen, but Philipp the Small is very small and young. Only one very short good scene as pictured left and one short soccer scene with the boys on the right.
International title "Phillip the Small", "The Marvelous Music of Phillip the Small" and French "Philippe le petit". Note the different spelling of Philipp. Script (and novel?) by Christa Kozik, directed by Hermann Zschoche. 64 minutes. There is at least a dubbed US NTSC VHS, not sure if this was released officially. IMDb says 1978.
For the few Lederhosen scenes of the older boys I can only rate 5. No trailers.
