This is the 2nd part of this 4 part Pagnol "Memories of Childhood" film series. Now I have finally checked all parts again completely.
The plot and movie itself is the best of all four; but with the least sailor suit scenes. One very short flashback from the 1st part (with Lili) and one quite short Christmas scene (pictured). The main character Marcel Pagnol (Julien Ciamaca) in very good beige longer shorts as shown before.
The movie I would rate 9 or 10, but for the short sailor suit scenes I can't rate higher than 3-4.
International title "My Mother's Castle", directed by Yves Robert. Nominated for a César.
