-Comment: At least half of the family in sailor suits, sailor dresses or similar with collars. At least 2 young boys ~7 ys in blue, one boy ~11 in white sailor suit (pictured top left), and a young girl ~ 6 in white sailor dress with white collar and red stripes (pic top right), a girl ~ 10 with a completely white collar (pic bottom left) and 2 or 3 teen girls/ young women with collars including one in blue sailor dress with blue collar and red scarf. Also at least one young boy in blue bib overalls and boys, girls and women in bathing costumes. Boys also in breeches or similar pants. At least 2 or 3 boys with sailor caps, one with the text US Navy.

This is the sequel to "Cheaper by the Dozen (1950)" featuring the Gilbreth family, starring Jeanne Crain, see also that entry. I only saw the first half of this film and I like it. Rather few (sailor suit) scenes of the boys (in that part). I don't know the prequel (except for some clips) and I have to check both films again completely. Both are available separately or in one DVD box. Perhaps even worth buying if not on TV soon. Film 1 seems to more rare, I found no color clips on the web. Similar films with a huge family are "Die Trapp-Familie" and "The Sound of Music (1965)" (both with sailor suits and Lederhosen) and "Vater, Mutter und neun Kinder" (Lederhosen and skirtalls/dresses) and of course the 2003 Cheaper by the Dozen remake starring Steve Martin.
Rating 7-8 for now only.
