-Comment: Michael Ande in buckskin Lederhosen (without suspenders) and Tyrolean hat (pictured top and bottom). Also another city boy, I think in long Lederhosen but with suspenders (bottom right), along with other city boys playing soccer, one even in long dark blue jeans, one in jeans shorts. A boys' choir in long Tracht Lederhosen (top right), probably the Wiener Sängerknaben (Vienna Boys Choir) or dubbed by them. Also a toddler in Tracht Lederhosen (incl. suspenders) and of course some men in Lederhosen (some without suspenders, some with wide green (non-leather, maybe felt) Suspenders. And women in Dirndl dancing. And 2 altar boys (also ranging bells in bell tower). Ande also in nighshirt.
A very, very good, nearly perfect Heimatfilm. Superb landscape shots with the alps and wooden alpine cabins (also shown from inside). I don't like much Ande, but good acting. He is also lying on his stomach on the alps with his legs up and some touchy scenes with (carrying) lambs. Rather few music, and lots of actors in Tracht, especially at the end of the film.
Of course, a film could always be better (more Lederhosen scenes, more actors, smooth finish Lederhosen etc. but I give rating 9.
Film aka "Alpenglühn im Wetterstein" and I haven't found any DVD nor VHS releases and no clips on the web. Starring Franziska Kinz, Franz Muxeneder and others, plot is about a typical forbidden love. Ande always in Lederhosen (except at night), but shown about half of this movie. It's not a children's film.
