-Comment: One young boy in a light blue short sailor suit and blue collar (pictured right), very short scene, one girl in an orange dress with completely white collar (short collar, no shirt, no real sailor dress, pictured left), and another girl (see clip) in a blue dress and a crocheted white round collar, also not a real sailor dress. Last girl in 2 scenes hich are a bit longer.
Another disappointing film. Movie aka "Effi Briest" (1955). Novel by Theodor Fontane. Leuwerik (who played Effi Briest) also starred in "Die Trapp-Familie" (see that entry).
Some (landscape scenes) at the beach and some costumes are quite good, but the film is boring. Sorry. And very short sailor suit scenes. Can't rate any higher than 2 for it. The beginning of the film with typical scenes of 1900 looked promising. Couldn't find any DVD nor VHS releases. There are more famous versions of Effi Briest, like the 1974 Rainer Werner Fassbinder version. I have to check this and other films as well. I saw this by coincidence as there was another film in the TV guide.
