-Comment: One young boy with longer blond hair in white sailor suit (pictured on top) and one boy with a black collar (very short scene). The scene of the blond boy is quite good, but also rather short. He had been pushed into the lake by an older boy because he is the only one who succeeds in making a whistle. I think not even real matching pants of this suit.
Also 2 teen girls with collars, but this aren't real sailor dresses (see trailer).

Quite good and interesting film (rated R, 144 min.) with some violent and some interesting scenes. A younger boy has to tie his teen brother Martin (Leonard Proxauf, who won a Young Artist Award) to the bed because of his bad habits and his dad asked Martin about it. I have seen this film for the first time and even considered bying it. I also didn't know what the title is about. International title: "The White Ribbon". Quite good film showing life in rural Germany just before WWI and about a strict father. I like it, although b/w. But for sailor suit scenes I can only rate 3. (For film maybe 6-7). Why aren't there more sailor suit scenes for a film set in Northern Germany in 1910s?  Maybe the novel is worth reading but it was published after the film and not based upon.
