-Comment: Some boys acting as choir boys of the Thomanerchor in suits. Not really sailor suits, but at least blue choir suits with 3 stripes. Starring Constantin Gastmann (on left) and Frederick Lau (3rd from left). Earlier the choir had real sailor suits and good collars (see pic below, taken from Wikimedia Commons).

I have seen this film, but some time ago. I don't like it. Also starring Piet Klocke as teacher of this boarding school and Ulrich Noethen. Also a scene with a stage play in different costumes (see trailer). Much more famous is the 1973 version (starring Joachim Fuchsberger) which I also prefer, but I don't like much films of the 70s. (Boys with long hairstyles, and clothing in yellow and brown and flared pants). Maybe there are Lederhosen or similar (and there are speedos). I will check again all fims the next broadcasting, also the 1954 b/w film. International title "The Flying Classroom". Some Awards incl. a Golden Sparrow. Sorry, I like some actors, but for "sailor suits" and film only rating 2.
I think novel is set in 1918, but this is a modern remake.
