-Comment: At least one boy in blue long sailor suit (pictured) and some others with good collars. I don't know (or don't remember) this series by Maurice Pialat (1925-2003, who also starred as teacher) but looks good. Also lots of others in historical clothing and boys in short pants. Also one interesting scene, where 3 boys are being bathed (outside, standing up). 7 episodes à 53 minutes (available on 3 DVDs) aka The House of Wood. Good rural France landscape set in WWI. Have to check completely, but rating 6 for now. I like those French films and series. But I assume somehow rather few or medium good sailor suit scenes.
