-Comment: At least a young boy (I don't know his name) in a short dark blue or black sailor suit and some boys in historical clothing of Brittany, some with black hats with a large ribbon (pic 3). Boys wearing wooden clogs. And of course grown-ups in historical clothing, especially women with rare white high caps (pic 3). Also 2 altar boys (white/red but short and small collars). The boy ripped off the front part of his sailor suit and says he owns another one. Very interesting other scenes. The boy on the shoulders on pic 3 must be Ronan Hubert as 7 yo Pierre-Jacques. His older brother playing 11 yo Pierre-Jacques.
As announced, but this time I missed the first ~30 minutes of this 2 hour movie as I couldn't receive this channel on afternoons. So I only noticed one short scene in the middle of the movie where the boy is being bullied because of wearing this sailor suit.
Other scenes are young boys smoking, fighting with their wooden clogs on their hands, pullig a girl at the pigtails, watching horses mating, and a brief swimming scene. The boy is being spanked by his dad while carried out of the water.
English title "The Horse of Pride", novel by Pierre-Jakez Helias. I don't know any of the actors and I think most of the movie is set in 1908. Rural setting and scenes of traditional living and working.
For the few sailor suit scenes, rating 5 for now only. The movie is quite interesting, but there are better ones. Rating 6-7 for the movie.
