Exclusive pic#47 sailor suit boy and tiger

A 12 1/2 year old boy in a striped short and tight sailor suit with a faked tiger. 1910s. Name starting with M similar to Maximilian. I haven't read that Suetterlin language for some time and don't have the time for research. There are many old styled names anyway.

Funny pic. First I thought that the tiger is a real-sized paper tiger but probably later added. Typical fashion and flat hat but somehow looks different than other sailor suits.

Long neckline at front (so probably short collar flap on the back). High and striped inside dickey. Boy looks younger to me. Not my favourite pic, but still interesting. As usual high res on picasa (magnifying glass).

Had been aired yesterday. Also available online at 3sat mediathek.

Quite interesting (to those who like ballets or man in tights). I have seen most of it at high speed. Rather few scenes of the boys. Some boys in blue (non sailor) uniforms with white pants not sure if tights.

Some others in other clothes / knickers but rather few close up scenes. Nurejew version by Marius Petipa and Lew Konovalova.

Krupp – Eine deutsche Familie - part 2

Also Lederhosen in part 2. As assumed Theo Trebs in longer Lederhosen and I think all of his 3 younger siblings mainy in shorter buckskin Lederhosen with suspenders. Set in 1920 Austria. Also a hunting scene but all rather short. The person on the first entry was a man in Lederhosen on the left. One brief scene with Theo Trebs in the short blue sailor suit, sitting on the floor (mainly front view, rear view is in the dark). Some few scenes of the other little kids in sailor suits but from a distance, also in other clothes. In the middle of the movie the setting turns to the mid 30s with grown-up Alfried (different actor) and nothing of interest there. Last part this evening, but I don't assume much more there (although 30s and 50s, but who knows).

Few scenes of longer Lederhosen and the other kids are very young. Rating 5 for this part. No scenes of interest in part 3.

As announced, part 1 had been aired yesterday. Theo Trebs and his 3 younger siblings (2 girls, 1 boy?) in different, interesting sailor suits. Also an older teen girl and woman as shown in my main entry. It starts in 1901 and also showing uniforms (men) and sometimes swapped to the 1920s. Only short scenes in about the middle of this part. So quite disappointing although quite good sailor suits. Quite long and wide collar and interesting different kids of the siblings (long V neckline of the kid in the other blue sailor suit in the middle. White dickeys without stripes. No Lederhosen yet (not even longer Lederhosen).

It's quite rare to see teen boys in sailor suits. I hope for Lederhosen scenes or other kids. Episode 2 will be aired this evening, maybe even better or more scenes? I will update this later. Rating 6 for now only due to this brief scenes.Could be much better.

Note sure if the beige shorts of the main character at the beginning are of (buckskin) leather. I don't think so. At least without suspenders. The boys with real Lederhosen are looking much better. Though rather few scenes only.

Many kids dancing outside (mountain landscape) in traditional clothes but not in Lederhosen. Very rare. What else should I say about this movie? Typical but good DEFA movie. 67 minutes. Czech title "Uprchlik" There's a DVD but looks like non-official.

Rating 7-8 for the boy on the left (also sitting, rating 4-5 for the main character). I also want to remind once more to the today's series Krupp - Eine deutsche Famile.

Here rating 7 for this rare wearing of overalls and sailor dress at the same time. Even with a good long collar.

Schloss Einstein ep 790

After a long time Johnny again in longer Lederhosen (brief scene near the beginning wearing a red vest over them). S16e50. Also in underwear (blue shorts). Maybe he is wearing those under the Lederhosen. Also a younger boy sitting in longer Lederhosen (brief dream scene). At the end Johnny and a teen girl in marine uniforms (jackets and hats, but no sailor suits/dresses/collars). Maybe also of interest Tommy (older teen boy, still wearing braces and since a long time not his longer curly hair) in an octopus costume (lycra).

No need for showing again Johnny's Lederhosen (scenes are as far not as good as in earlier episodes). See also my posts in this and both my other blogs. He is also getting thinner and thinner and/or taller. Colorful episode. Johnny was also kissing a girl but didn't feel anything.

Exclusive pic#46 class forest sailor suit

This photo postcard showing a class in the woods 1910s or 1920s. Only 2 kids in sailor suits. A boy in the middle (blurred while moving) and 2 kids further right with longer hair probably a girl?

I can't say much more about it. Probably Germans. Boys with short hair, some wearing ties and suspenders. Maybe some are brothers. Also note the flowers in the girls' hairs. Is this some kind of fest? May? Also funny the teacher.

Every girl has flowers in the hair. So the 2nd kid in sailor suit is also a boy? Big eyes, long hair. Looks extremely feminine for these days. But I don't like this pic.

Finally another Lederhosen movie. Had just been aired. Although in Switzerland unfortunately very few Lederhosen scenes. Maybe I missed some scenes?

The boys are not thin. Many scenes of the boys (in shorts) but I somehow don't like the movie. There are much better ones.

Rating 3-4 for the Lederhosen scenes, rating 4-5 for the movie. Alternate title "In allen Gassen wohnt das Glück". Sequel to Polizischt Wäckerli (which I also have to check).

I now have seen a pic of an older boy in a uniform as pictured in this movie starring Gérard Depardieu..

Previously I only have seen a pic of a very young Alexei, about 4 yo in a sailor suit.

I still haven't seen this movie completely and can't say if there are more scenes of an older Alexei in sailor suit or similar.

I only have checked it at high speed but only found very few scenes at about 43 minutes. Completely on YouTube. English title King Matthew I. Famous 1923 novel by Janus Korczak. I only knew the animated series and movie.

Interesting plot and maybe some other historic clothing, but for these short sailor suit scenes rating 3-4 only.

Exclusive pic#45 sailor suit boys Denmark

This photo showing 3 older brothers from Holstebro, Denmark and their 3 sisters.Two boys wearing sailor suits. Note the very short neckline on front, so I assume very long collar flaps on the back. Additionally they wear striped dickeys. Collars have 5 stripes. And note the very large necklines of the girls.

First I didn't know their nationality and it's hard to guess by just seeing their faces of those vintage photos.The photo is faded and I first considered to convert it to real black & white but I want to maintain the warm color and the blond hair of the boys. Sometimes it's hard to identify if some sports are freckles or dirt on the pics.

I can't say much more about it. Looks like 1900s-1910s and they look quite happy (except the girl on the left). As usual high res by clicking/at Picasa.

This is a series of movies starting in 1953. This is the 6th part of the third generation. I have seen some of the prequels (not showing sailor suits) probably with partly the same actors (but much younger then). Funny family entertainment. Funny tuba playing uncle Anders (Jess Ingerslev, 1st pic).

Pic 1 in a short white sailor suit (white shorts) and a typical blue sailor collar and white/blue sailor hat in one of the sequels "Aventuras de Joselito en América" (1960) aka Joselito in America. (According IMDb the same as Aventuras de Joselito y Pulgarcito (which seems a different movie in 1959).

The 2 other pics also showing a collar squared at the front in an unknown movie with the song Gracia y salero (maybe 1960 movie Escucha mi canción). Other sources say that this is 1958 movie. Also his birth date is sometimes 1943 or 1947. At least he should play a 9 yo but was 13 at his first movie in 1956 but not sure when it was filmed and when released. He can't be 19 yo in caballo blanco ("The White Horse"). I'm a bit confused and so this is about all Joselito films.

Looks quite interesting but I have to check all the parts. There is also a bedroom scenes (2 boys sharing one bed, soon on my bedroom blog, the other probably Purgacito in Aventuras de Joselito y Pulgarcito).

I had to clean-up my HDD recorder and found that clip. It's quite rare for a children's choir wearing Lederhosen (except mainly the Tölzer Knabenchor), also see other entries tagged choir.

I only have a very short scene (some seconds) and don't know if they appeared for more than one song. A blond boy in the front row with longer hair (on the far left), one teen boy with suspenders (not H-style) but most boys not in Lederhosen or at least without suspenders. I count 4 boys in the 1st row in Lederhosen. One in dark.

A boy wearing knickers or shorts is nothing special (and I won't add every movie with boys in shorts here) but I somehow want to add this series. This teen boy is very old wearing knickers.

The series is quite boring but also somehow interesting with that boy. To me he is too thin and old. But maybe someone like it. So I usually don't watch this series (4 episodes daily).

Maybe I find something more of interest.

Had been aired 2 days ago.  In this clip they were singing "Fein sein, beinander bleib'n". Rare choir with traditional alpine music. There is a harp playing.

Typical Bavarian musical show, but I only have seen it partly.

I like this choir and especially the alpine Christmas (see "Weihnachtssingen in Polling", rating 7 and other shows and movies with this choir (try a blog search).

Some handsome boys, but in total few good scenes. Maybe most prefer short Lederhosen anyway.

I don't know how long this series is up. No entry at German's No1 database. Related radio broadcasting since 1991.

I almost forgot it to add it here, but there are better movies. I remember only few good scenes (of this sailor dress).  Not sure about the setting but I think it's the 1940s although sailor dresses were rare then. Mabye it's a stage play or similar.

I always wonder what kind of underwear males and females wearing (nowadays) under their Lederhosen.

According to a post at the German board paradisi.de/Beauty_und_Pflege/Bekleidung/Lederhosen/Forum

someone says that traditionally Lederhosen are/were worn without anything underneath and no lining.

What does it mean? Traditionally. When? I doubt that it is/was true for everyone (little boys, women).

there are several movies showing parts of underwear underneath.

Maybe it's the same questions as what wearing under a kilt.

 

In the latest episode of Musikantenstadl (also boys, check a blog search) there were lots of young women in Lederhosen. And of course men and boys in Lederhosen in the audience.

 

The Oktoberfest 2013 starting this Saturday.

This old photo postcard showing 3 blond boys, probably brothers from Beaumont. Not sure which Beaumont, maybe one in Belgium? Can't read the photographer's name either.

The young boy wearing a festive dark sailor suit with black or dark stockings. Completely white collar, no stripes. Note the rare wide belt matching the color of the scarf (maybe blue). Looks almost aristocratic. Short blond hair.

The background looks like a fake studio background to me.

Not my favourite pic, but it wasn't expensive. As usual high res on Picasa.

1903 or 1904 novel by Aleksandr Kuprin. Aka "Belyi pudel" and "Belyj pudel". English title The White Poodle, Russian title "Белый пудель". Filmed in 1955 in 3D. Released in 1956. IMDb says 1957 (wide release ?)

I only noticed rather brief scenes of this boy. Looks more like a girl.

There are definitely better Soviet sailor suit movies. Maybe a quite good plot and maybe interesting in 3D.

That sailor outfit looks a bit silly. I haven't seen the rear view but she has long hair anyway. And she was angry. Not sure if other clothing of interest. According to some pics,

different sailor-like clothing in ep. 3 and bib overalls (Super Mario) in ep. 1. Older teen boys and girls.

Good and funny and typical movie of it's time including comedy and music. Starring Hans Holt and Rudolf Carl. Directed by Fritz Böttger. Czech operetta by V. Tolarsky. There is also a 1971 remake (which I also have to check and also seems to be rare). Not sure about the setting. Either ~1936  (operetta and cars) or 1950s (maybe wrong props).

Can't rate any higher than 2-3 for now.

Exclusive pic#42 sailor suit boy 1905

This cabinet card from 1905 showing a young boy from Villingen, Germany in a dark (blue) sailor suit with a long collar flap. 3 thick stripes and some thinner stripes (see high-res). Traditional short hair. Nice garden scene with mom and sisters. Quite rare as this is not a studio photograph.

Sorry I don't have the time right now to remove the scratches. Maybe I will colorize it later.

Quite funny movie but the kids are not too often shown. However good 1900s clothing and props, see also my bedroom blog.

Some minor updates of my list entry (sailor suit collars).

The last episodes of the series Löwengrube had been aired. Sadly no more Lederhosen scenes. I still have to check the earlier episodes. The 50s were disappointing. But still rating 9. Maybe more for sailor suits.

On TV: Seid bereit und erste Liebe

Had just been aired on MDR. Rebroadcasting tonight at 05.50 am.

At least one boy sitting in buckskin Lederhosen with suspenders. One boys in smooth finish or more likely nappa Lederhosen. B&w scenes set in 1990 (last East German summer camp) also color scenes and bedroom scenes.

Update: Only 2 notable and brief scenes as pictured. Both are moving images.

Also pioneer scarves, shorts and speedos. Girls in dresses, partly with H-style suspenders.

At least the color scenes were shot in Bad Klosterlausnitz. Also modern 2010 scenes and at least 4 wooden bunk beds.

Rating 4-5 for these Lederhosen.
