Had been aired today. This documentary is about the Thomanerchor of Leipzig (boys 9-19 ys) and their lives at the boarding school. 2 boys are often interviewed, a 13 yo Paul and an older boy about 18 or 19. Quite interesting, but there are many (better) documentaries about other choirs like the Wiener Sängerknaben. The boys wear these modern "sailor" or choir suits until their voices break, after that they wear regular suits and at 19 they had to leave the choir. I don't like these modern choir suits with angled collars, but no long real sailor collar. For a pic of these suits see the entry of the movie "Das fliegende Klassenzimmer (2003)" starring Constantin Gastmann and Frederick Lau (rating 2) at

The documentary includes some historic scenes of 3 other films, "Die Thomaner" 1941 (first 2 pics, also 2 short Lederhosen and other scenes in shorts, also showing that they had to wear uniforms instead of the sailor suits on some occasions during WWII), a 1961 movie (pic below, one scene) showing them in traditional short sailor suits (then East Germany) and also scenes of 2000 (but most of the scenes are obviously of 2012 and of course in color). Most in jeans and also showing them in soccer shorts. Some boys wearing braces, some boys are handsome. There are also girls at the boarding school now.
For the few interesting sailor suit and Lederhosen scenes rating 3, the documentary is a bit better, about 4-5. I prefer the Wiener Sängerknaben, although they also had changed their sailor suits.
