-Comment: Jackie "Butch" Jenkins (1937-2001, pictured) in a white short sailor suit, white collar and I think 2 light blue stripes and a straw hat. Also in light brown worn bib overalls (shortly on my other blog, or see clip). Also of course lots of others (grown ups) in historical clothing, maybe also women in sailor dresses or similar with a collar.

No better view of him in sailor suits, there is an excellent publicity pic (in b&w)

This Technicolor movie was filmed in 1946 but released in 1948. There is also another trailer on YouTube called Summer Holiday 1947. Released officially as a DVD-R and on VHS and Laserdisc. I even considered buying it but am not sure about this movie and I don't like expensive DVD-Rs and wait for it. And I assume rather few scenes in sailor suit as he isn't the main character and also wearing other clothes.
But I like those period movies. Based on the stage play by Eugene O'Neill and starring Mickey Rooney, Gloria DeHaven, Frank Morgan and Walter Huston. Funny scene as he was riding down the stair rail (pic below). I like this freckled kid actor, but he is very small.

I will check this again and hope for a TV broadcasting. Rating 7 for now.
I also have to check the first adaption "Ah, Wilderness! (1935) also starring Mickey Rooney (then as Tommy).
