–Comment: One boy in light grey shorts, white shirt or blouse with a large white sailor collar, blue stripes, Navy style and a corner folded or flying up. I only noticed this brief scene. Also other boys in shorts including sitting scenes (including Rufus in blue shorts). 

Starring James Woods. Boys are Mark Devitt, Tommy Gilchrist, Gerard Kelly and Adam Reed. Main character Rufus by Shane Nickerson.

1960 play by Tad Mosel. More famous is the 1963 b&w movie with at least Michael Kearney in a white sailor suit, coming soon. Better is the 1981 version, rating 4

–Comment: 2 boys in sailor suits, an older boy in a beige suit with large and long matching collar and a young boy, maybe Jeremy Licht as 6yo Rufus in a medium blue sailor suit with matching collar and many white stripes. Also some other boys in historical clothes/knickers. Also a lady with a large collar. Other boys are Robby Kiger (*1973) and Gregory Brown.

After having found the NBC Live Theater play The Member of the Wedding (1982), other blog rating 7-8 with a boy in shortalls, I searched for more NBC plays and only found this one.

Quite interesting collars but the boy in the real suit is very young. Also starring William Hurt.

i also found the 1971 version, coming soon (very few scenes). 1960 play by Tad Mosel. More famous is the 1963 b&w movie.

 

Update 5: Tom Turbo (1993)

A boy called Alex in long beige buckskin Lederhosen with rare M-style suspenders. Many scenes in episode "Grüne Ninjas" which had been re-broadcasted last Saturday (available on the ORF mediathek). He wore an open traditional dark jacket at the beginning.

Rating 4-5. He also appeared in other episodes but not sure if in Lederhosen (see update 1).

–Comment: Mainly one blonde pigtailed girl in a medium blue sailor dress. Long matching collar, white boarder. Also some few front views but few and brief scenes and most from a distance. Also Dutch boys in historical clothes, shorts knickers, white underwear (side view) or less (brief rear view only). Few uniforms (men only).

I have now completely rechecked this DVD. I used to buy these coming of age movies ~15 years ago. Great plot and handsome boy (Maarten Smit), but for some reason one of my least watched movies.

Better are of course the other scenes of the boy.

English title: For a Lost Soldier. Autobiographical novel by Rudi van Dantzig. Produced by Matthijs van Heijningen (Ciske de rat, Kees de Jongen).

The German DVD has Dutch audio only (Dutch/German subtitles). RC0.

Sailor dress scenes ~rating 3. Movie rating 7-8. Translated novels are OOP and usually very expensive. A Dutch ebook is available including longer preview.

Update: Uomini & donne, amori & bugie

 

Finally, after 6.5 years, I have found the full movie on OK (in foreign title). As mentioned 3 boys and 2 (mainly one girl) in Lederhosen with H-style suspenders. 2 handsome older boys. Unfortunately rather few good scenes, in fact just one long scene ~26-36 minutes. Best at 30 (all pics). Also the boy in blue kneeing down. Also earlier but from a distance. 

And rear views (~ at 35) but with these open jackets. Scenes outside starting at 26. Overalls scenes are even much shorter (girl in light blue shortalls and a toddler boy in long overalls, soon to be updated on my other blog, will be rating 2.

I don't like much grey Lederhosen.

Sorry, I'm currently quite busy and running out of movies. I'm also re-watching my DVDs, currently I'm watching Voor een verloren soldaat (For a Lost Soldier) at least a girl in a sailor dress there and boys in 1940s clothes, coming soon.

I found 3 musical clips with this pic, taken from another (unknown) PD movie and/or personal collection. This appears on song Happy Days are here again (Harry Hudson's Melody Men), Ray Ventura & ses Collégiens... "Aux Îles Vent-Debout" (1937) and Orchester Ludwig Rüth... "Wo die Strandpromenade zu Ende geht !" (1936), clips by Leotarus1975.

Also some few other pics, beach set in Belgium (Knokke-Heist, Oostende, Blankenberge). And many other clips with vintage pics 30s/40s including Berlin, some colorized. But I haven't checked them all. Maybe also Lederhosen?
