This is my 2nd blog about feature films, TV series and documentaries with boys, girls, men and women in sailor suits, Lederhosen and other historical clothing of the 19th century and beyond. I collect informations, trailer videos, low-res images and personal comments/ratings. This blog was introduced in 2011. 2012-2020 on Wordpress. Now I'm back. Update will take a while.

-Year: 1941
-Year in film: 1890s
-Country: USA
-Who in clothing: girl, sailor dress
-Who in clothing 2: boys breeches, hist. cloth.
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Clothing occurence: low ?
-Rating: 3/10 ?
-Rating: ***
-Comment: Obviously at least one girl (about 10-12 yo) in a white sailor dress, blue collar (1st pic on the left), also other kids with string ties and boys in historical clothing including breeches or similar. Also starring Roddy McDowall (1928-1998 "Flicka"), Walter Pidgeon and Maureen O'Hara.
There are also 2 later TV series (also in color) which I also have to check. Looks quite interesting, but I can't say much more yet. I found it by coincidence. Novel by Richard Llewellyn and is set in a Welsh mining town hence the British clothing.
Rating 3 for now only but unsure. Movie and actors might be better. Completely on YouTube but I don't had the time to check it at slow speed.
