I found this by coincidence and it shows I think a boy wearing garter waists with wide crossed straps (stocking supporters ?). Not sure if this or better scenes are shown in the series as well.
Here in Germany I have never heard of this series before. Novel by John Masefield.
Generally, garter waists are also rarely shown (Karl's friend have a lots of pics, see flickr blogroll).
Also at least a blond boy with bowlcut.
Rating 3-4

You should definitely get hold of this series on DVD.
ReplyDeleteIt's a children's fantasy story for Christmas, and the reason the boy is wearing the crossed straps is because he's demonstrating the harness he wears to make him fly in the story. In the story he normally wears his Norfolk jacket over this.
The article from Blue Peter is here:

He's also probably the nicest boy who has ever appeared on English television.
Thanks for your explanations! I didn't had the time to listen to that clip when I captured the pic.
ReplyDeleteYes, he's handsome. But there are a lot of handsome boys. The other blond boy is even better.
The series is probably a good fantasy series but recently I have bought many DVDs and I still prefer US actors (in overalls) or boys in sailor suits. I don't like cold climate and thick jackets.
