This is my 2nd blog about feature films, TV series and documentaries with boys, girls, men and women in sailor suits, Lederhosen and other historical clothing of the 19th century and beyond. I collect informations, trailer videos, low-res images and personal comments/ratings. This blog was introduced in 2011. 2012-2020 on Wordpress. Now I'm back. Update will take a while.

Apollonia (2005)
Heimatfilm starring Julia Heinze, 2 parts
-Year: 2005
-Year in film: 1913-1918
-Country: Germany
-Who in clothing: boys ~7, sailor suit
-Who in clothing 2: boys ~11, knickers, shorts, other cl.
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: yes, partly TV recording
-Clothing occurrence: very low *
-Rating: 5/10 *
-Rating: *****
-Comment: I only noticed one very brief scene of a young boy in a blue, probably short sailor suit (set in 1914) near the end of the movie. Also 2 brothers, look like twins in very good longer shorts/knickers with suspenders (also close up rear view while climbing out of the windows). Also other clothes, black 7/8 pants. No or no notable Lederhosen scenes of boys.
Interesting and unusual Heimatfilm set in the 1910s. Part 1 had been aired yesterday. Part 2 will be aired next Friday.
Also starring Konstantin Wecker and others. I have to check the next part as well.
Rating 3 for the sailor suit scene for now, movie is much better.
Update: No scenes of interest in part 2. Younger men in longer Lederhosen.
