English title: "All for Love" and "Stubborn Love". Original title: "Да обичаш на инат". Directed by Nikolai Volev, novel by Chavdar Shinov (Čavdar Šinov). Obviously a typical family drama about a 14 yo boy.

I have seen the complete movie at high speed, and found only few good scenes.

Not bad (teens, late setting, long collars) but rating 4-5 only.

I have an entry for 2.5 years on my bedroom blog (rating 5, also showing the shorts) and almost forget to post it here, I thought I already had it. Set in Rome in the 1950s, so very late for a sailor suit.

I can't remember much more. There are better movies with handsome boys.

Maybe more (and maybe blue sailor suits as well). But I assume rather few sailor suit scenes. Sorry, no pics yet. One is here


Set in 1905 and 1915 or later in St. Petersburg after the Russian Revolution. Story by Vladimir Nabokov (Lolita). I first thought that it's related to  the famous "The Story of O". Directed by Jérome Foulon ("Les enfants du naufrageur"). One boy there even looks like the boy of my still missing Italian movie, tagged unknown (but probably it isn't that one, I've checked every Italian movie from 1992 back to 1983 and I will now check also earlier years).

I can't say much more yet. I haven't found any clips and no DVD release.

Rating 5-6 for now.

Khoustov also appearing in Ispoved neznakomtsu in a light green sailor suit (rating 5).

Update: Anderland (1980)

I have checked 6 out of 7 DVDs. 2 more boys in Lederhosen. And one more but, only partly shown, and one more man. (Previoulsy mentioned a toddler and a man acting like a boy).

Pic 1 showing Uli around 6-7 yo in ep 29 in short Lederhosen. His brother Peter is only shown behind a table and with something in front of him. Older and more handsome boys but not in Lederhosen.

Pic 2 from ep 20 showing blond Kurt around  8 yo in longer buckskin Lederhosen but with H-style suspenders as well. Good time travelling plot around 1850s and stamps. Many scenes (front+rear).

6 episodes (3h) to go. Some other episodes showing also older boys, handsome boys, and other scenes of interest, pants of the early 80s (many corduroy), shorts, shiny shorts, speedos, shirtless scenes and overalls (see other blog). Filmed in or around Munich, also on the Oktoberfest (I wonder why almost no Lederhosen are shown there).

I don't know the complete movie yet, but I assume rather few scenes as he also wear other clothes. Also shirtless in shorts with suspenders.

One of many French WWII setting movies. He's also very young. Late setting for a sailor suit.

So rating 3-4 for now (for sailor suit scenes) only.

A man in Lederhosen acting like a boy (body swap) in ep 6. A toddler in ep 7 (partly shown and very brief scene on the Oktoberfest).

I have ordered both DVD boxes as there is currently an offer on Amazon.

Will be updated later. Rating 4-5 for now for Lederhosen. Although filmed in Bavarian obviously rather few Lederhosen scenes. But I haven't seen all episodes yet.

Update: Some more boys in Lederhosen in Anderland. Ep 20 blond Kurt ~8 yo in longer Lederhosen. Ep 29 Uli ~7 in short Lederhosen (pics coming soon). Some speedo and shiny shorts scenes. Some handsome boys, also shirtless. Most kids are longhaired but most are very young around 6 yo.

A bit off topic (and I don't have categories yet for shorts or shiny shorts), but includes historical clothes of the 70s. Looks like a school uniform (but somehow more like a trap). Set in 1976 South Africa.

Nominated for an Oscar.

Rather few good scenes.

–Comment: Holger Thaarup (or is it his older film brother ? but I don't think so) shirtless in probably buckskin longer Lederhosen with H-style suspenders. Brief scene on a stage play at the beginning of the movie. 37 minutes awarded short film. English title: The Boy Who Walked Backwards.

The horizontal suspender strap is very high. I have seen that before and maybe this are (costumes) of 1900s clothes. At the end kids in jeans at school.

Few scenes and he looks even younger. Rating 3-4.

Happy New Year!

I finally have checked the complete movie. 1 or 2 boys in short Lederhosen and rather few scenes (one brief at beginning, some longer scenes in the middle and end). Best scenes of Lederhosen and sailor suits in the middle of the movie (all pics). I think it's Peter dancing in short Lederhosen in pic 1.

Sailor collars are wide and of typical length (and color).

Pic 2 also showing the black main character as Gretl in a dress and a blond wig with pigtails. The other boy has just taken off his wig.

Some handsome boys (pic 3) and another blond boy. Fewer scenes than assumed (half of the movie with sailor suits, and mainly the longer Lederhosen of the black boy). Haircutting and dressing on the suit (with the collar attached) of him. Still rating 7.
