–Comment: Some boys in short and long Lederhosen (with and without H-style suspender) and even women in short Lederhosen. Also of course men in Lederhosen. Also other traditional clothes 1880s-1970s. One brief b&w clip of boys doing Watschnplattler.

I mentioned it before but missed it and yesterday I have seen the last 30 minutes of part 2. Interesting history of the Dirndl and Lederhosen. The tradition of wearing Lederhosen (for everyone and always in Bavaria) isn't that old, just started in around 1888.

Part one doesn't show good Lederhosen scenes (or I missed them). All pics from part 2 which is about the political influence. Pic 1 is from the intro of both.

Most scenes are taken from short b&w footage Super 8 films, partly from personal collections. All pics here from moving images. There are also some photos shown. Few boys and scenes of the 1930s most other boys wearing uniforms, most scenes of course of the 1950s and 1960s but in total rather few scenes.

Not bad but quite young and I think few sailor suit scenes. However there are also some other very interesting scenes and older boys.

-Comment: 11 or 12 yo but much younger looking Roland Kaiser (it's the actor, not the singer) in tight dark, maybe black, I think smooth finish or nappa Lederhosen without suspenders. Sorry, currently no pics. The pics here are taken from Ferien auf Immenhof (1957). "Meine Kinder und ich" is a b&w movie and very rare.

There is no DVD release and currently no clips online. I think it was online and got deleted. So I wait for another upload or TV broadcasting.

Also starring Paul Dahlke. Directed by Wolfgang Schleif who also did the Immehof movies and similar movies, also Zärtliches Geheimnis, aka Ferien in Tirol starring Michael Ande.

I like smooth finish Lederhosen.

So rating 8-9 for now. But I assume rather few good scenes and have to recheck it later.

-Comment: At least this young blond boy in short grey Lederhosen with H-style suspenders. Scene from the very end of the movie. He also appeared earlier but not or not always in Lederhosen. Also at least men in Lederhosen showing on the Oktoberfest.

He looks very young and small but might be older, maybe around 7 or 8 yo?

I missed most of the movie yesterday (as I haven't expect kids in there). Also available on YouTube and the Mediathek (but there one at 8pm or later).

Quite handsome boy, but still very young and obviosly few scenes.

So rating 3 only.

I found this during research for my overalls blog (IMDb tag one-room schoolhouse).

Quite interesting movie but the boys are very young and few sailor suit (and other) scenes.

Starring Kenneth Branagh and Cynthia Nixon. Nominated for 3 Golden Globes. 121 minutes.

Rating 3-4.

Sorry nothing much new about the Oktoberfest. Even the same movies as last year.

-Comment: Some boys around 12 and 13 in shorts with H-style suspenders but I only noticed one boy in real short and tight buckskin Lederhosen (also with H-style suspenders). He is also cycling in them. Also boys with blue soviet scarves.

Looks very interesting but I only have checked it at high speed.

I'm not sure, but I think I can give rating 8 for now. Quite rare for an East German movie showing Lederhosen set in the 1940s.

Also starring Wolfgang Greese ("Mama ist unmöglich") as preacher .

I even found a much better movie but I have to do more research. As I currently don't have pics or clips, I don't make a post to better find them. Google would give false results and referring to this blog.

Tomorrow officially starting the Oktoberfest. I haven't found movies of interest for Saturday except the opening broadcasting, I think starting at 11 h. Sunday the Trachtenzug at 10 h. I will search for more on Sunday and later tomorrow.

Looks interesting. I found some few clips on YouTube. Seems quite rare, so I can't say much more.

Novel by Norman Lindsay. 10 episodes, directed by John Gauci (The Sullivans, Sugar and Spice, Pugwall).

The boy is quite young, not sure if there are others in sailor suits.

I think I wouldn't buy it. It's obviously not available on DVD anyway.

I checked this movie (but only partly) as the setting looks close to my missing Italian movie which I still haven't found.

English title: The Tree We Hurt. Original title "Το δέντρο που πληγώναμε".

Quite interesting but no real Lederhosen. Also spanking, shirtless and wet scenes.

Rating 3-4 for now for the pants. Movie itself maybe a higher rating.
