Update 3: Tom Turbo (1993)

 

I found another young boy (looks like a black boy) in a white sailor suit (and white collar and hat) in episode Das Gold der Geiermeiers (1998). Clip title Fratz Fantom - Video. The video is very short (<2 min). I haven't found the full episode. So not sure how many scenes or if there are more actors.

I'm always watching the 2 rebroadcasts on weekends on ORF . Up to now, no more Lederhosen or sailor suit scenes. I also check regularly for new uploads on YouTube.

I think, I have seen (some parts) on TV long time ago, but I don't like this movie and the main character here. 

Novels by Astrid Lindgren. There is also a (shortened ?) 2001 TV version.  

In the novel he wore red shortalls. Also shortalls in 1950s b&w movie(s), see other blog.

Mischief Makers (Our Gang silent films) new release

 

During research for better, remastered Our Gang movies, I found this one. After 6 remastered Blu-Rays (of the talkies) with very good image quality, there is a new release, German dubbed.

It's (until now) a set of 2 DVDs called Die kleinen Strolche 2. ZDF Staffel (first aired in 1967). Pictured is this 2nd season (unknown episode, around 1920s).

These are abridged films with removed inter-titles. And this ones have new music, noises and a German narration by Jürgen Scheller (and 2 kids), which were assumed to be lost.

Image quality should be good/same as aired (but don't expect a perfect quality of 100 year old silent movies). There are new remastered releases of the silent films announced.

I have several movies on this and my other blog. Several later films have been colorized.

Update: Die Wölfe (2009)

 

I found a stream online and finally can provide better pics of this chubby teen boy in Lederhosen. I haven't found other boys in Lederhosen but at least in shorts. I only have checked this briefly. Movie is rather poor.

Unfortunately few scenes only.

Main charater is the younger boy on right, Veselin Prahov.

Update: Das Haus in Montevideo (1963)

 

This Heinz Rühmann movie set in 1924 has recently been re-aired. Next to almost sailor style clothes with old sailor's caps with a pom-pom, there are also real sailor clothes near the end (pic 1), also some few kids in sailor suits in the background in the middle of the movie. Also 2 sailor men on the ship (white and dark blue suits). The scene of the earlier pic, there's a girl in a blue sailor dress (white lace collar) and a lady in a blue dress with sailor collar.

12 kids, all sleeping in one room (attic). Not sure if I had this on my bedroom blog. But I divided up boys and girls, so around just ~6 brothers.

Rather few good scenes, interesting clothes, but a rather poor Rühmann film. Also nice pigtails including loops. There's a spanking plot but not shown.
