Info 176: Updates

Some minor updates of my list entry (sailor suit collars).

The last episodes of the series Löwengrube had been aired. Sadly no more Lederhosen scenes. I still have to check the earlier episodes. The 50s were disappointing. But still rating 9. Maybe more for sailor suits.

Sorry , nothing much more of interest.

Probably some are interested in my Long Johns underwear post on my overalls blog. Or Klasse Segel Abenteuer (teen boys, girls) including  swimwear, bibs and bedroom scenes.

On TV: Seid bereit und erste Liebe

Had just been aired on MDR. Rebroadcasting tonight at 05.50 am.

At least one boy sitting in buckskin Lederhosen with suspenders. One boys in smooth finish or more likely nappa Lederhosen. B&w scenes set in 1990 (last East German summer camp) also color scenes and bedroom scenes.

Update: Only 2 notable and brief scenes as pictured. Both are moving images.

Also pioneer scarves, shorts and speedos. Girls in dresses, partly with H-style suspenders.

At least the color scenes were shot in Bad Klosterlausnitz. Also modern 2010 scenes and at least 4 wooden bunk beds.

Rating 4-5 for these Lederhosen.

Story 83: Colorized exclusive #4

I have quickly colorized my famous exclusive 4 pic (Dresden 1931).

The hair is often most difficult. First it was too much yellow, now too much red. But I think it's better than b&w.

 

As previously announced on all my blogs, I now have to take my blogging pause.

-Comment: 2 girls in blue/white sailor dresses. Blue collar. 4 thin stripes, at least the teen girl (only to see at close up scenes). Also some younger boys in shorts and also boy scouts or similar in historical uniforms and hats. The little girl (pic 2) has a shorter skirt and red ribbons in her hair. These bus stop scenes at the beginning and end.

The same director as in A Pál utcai fiúk (1969)


I checked for other versions of that other movie (there are about 7 movies, including one starring Mario Adorf, some b&w movies and even a very modern docu-like version) but I haven't found any other featuring boys in sailor suits.

This movie is called The Toth Family and I don't like it. 1964 novel by Istvan Örkeny. There is also at least one other, Belgian b&w 1971 movie "De familie Tot", but I haven't found much about that.

-Comment: At least 3 boys very briefly shown in Lederhosen (one is on the left) and also some more scenes of (older) men. Also grown ups in colorful bib overalls (see my other blog, rating 2). 2 altar boys at the end i nremember in white/pink gowns.

Some few other good scenes like 2 Bavarian boys visiting girls at this Bhagwan community. But I don't like this movie. I missed the beginning.

-Comment: Several different aged boys, about 9-15 yo in different short and long sailor suits, often with not matching collars. Short and long collars, with and without stripes. Colors including light brown, white (at least 3 boys, 2 in the background), light grey, olive and of course dark blue (at least 2 boys). Unfortunately boys have rather long hair (1969) and most aren't very handome. Most blue collars have thin stripes, so not really the ordinary sailor  collars. And everyone have different styles and colors and also hats. Best scenes are at the beginning in and in front of the school. It's hard to choose the best pics.

Perfect setting and plot about a gang, famous novel by Ferenc Molnár, directed by Zoltán Fábri. There are also lots of other movies, which I all have to check as well. English title: The Boys of Paul Street.

Pic 1: My favourite collar. Very wide on the shoulders, thicker stripes, a collar underneath and completely mismatching the color of his shirt. One boy with a short white collar, front row and some others on the left side.

Pic 2+3: A bit later, outside the school. Lots of boys walking around, showing the length and color of their pants. Partly long collars. But few and brief good scenes, some in the background or from bird's view.

Pic 3: The blue collar is flying in the wind.

Pic 4: A handsome boy with modern blond haircut. Dark blue collar but thin stripes. Also a boy in a light blue shirt and collar on the right.

Pic 5 (at about 54 minutes)  first showing a laughing boy in a light brown sailor suit. Very long neckline on the front and matching dickey but very short collar flap on his back. One older boy in a short dark blue sailor suit and blue cap and wearing ugly glasses on the right. He is more often shown than others in sailor suits. A boy in light grey rather long collar but without stripes in that scene.

Although I don't like most of the boys and sailor suits, I give rating 8-9, compared to my other entries.

Nice touching the shoulders / collars by the older brothers. Note the wide pants on the right. Only the 2 youngest in sailor suits.
