Another one from my VHS. Interesting movie. But I only noticed girls in sailor dresses. I don't remember the complete movie.

Recorded maybe in 2004 but could be recorded up to 2007 or even in the 1990s. Production could be much earlier. Also not sure of the time setting. Note, that there is no broadcaster's logo. And the haircuts are quite long. Maybe a 1980s production?

Looks somehow Canadian (or Australian to me).

I only found these 2 screenshots (made in 2011). I haven't found it on my VHS tapes, yet.

The boy in pic 2 looks a bit like Derrick Jones ("Matt and Jenny"). I can't say much more. Who knows this title?

Very similar is "Die rote Zora und ihre Bande" (1979 series, rating 5).

Sound of Music UK Tour 2011 musical

–Comment: The 2 von Trapp boys in long buckskin Lederhosen with H-style suspenders, dark greased hair. Probably also in sailor suits like the 5 girls. Pic obviously showing other kids in I think 2009. Much better is the 2011 Tour (in May ?).

Searching for pics of the Disney movie "Donovan's Kid" (Pigtails and Western blog, rating up to 7), I found this musical starring Jason Donovan and Verity Rushworth. I don't know the names of the boys. First, it was shown in (at least) Dublin, Glasgow and Leeds (and London ?). And often there are around 3 casts of each kid. Who can help? At least these boys appeared in Dublin.

Original title: Siroče. What means orphan.

Setting should be directly after the War (WWII?) Some clothes look more like the 1970s.

Interesting bedrooms (soon on my other blog rating ~6).

Another, previously unknown movie, I found in parts on one of my VHS tapes.

I don't know the complete movie, yet. English title: The Family. Awarded movie also starring Philippe Noiret. Set between 1906 and 1986. Scene pictured obviously in 1916.

So I assume very few scenes of interest.

As announced on my shiny shorts blog, I have checked almost all movies from this director, as many movies look similar to my unknown Italian assumed coming-of age movie (boys in white sleeveless under shirts and stone stairs at the seaside). I first found a pic of "Vasko da Gama ot selo Rupcha" (I already had this on my bedroom blog rating 4).

Original title "С деца на море", English title: Vacation with Kids.

I don't like the early 70s. Rather few good scenes (of these Lederhosen).

Another one, I found on one of my old VHS tapes (around 10 minutes left). Some interesting scenes (peeing at a wall at a funeral with another boy, rear view) and opening the rear part of his shorts, showing his grandma his butt, chasing him).

I recognized Angelika Böttiger (on the far right) also appearing later in series Schloss Einstein.

Movie seems to be rare. English title: Childhood. Nice rural setting in Silesia.

Obviously few sailor suit scenes. Also a blonde girl in pigtails, soon on my other blog, rating ~5.

Rating 4-5 for now.

Timm Thaler oder das verkaufte Lachen

This interesting 2017 remake is set much earlier, maybe in the 1920s and has lots of historical clothes including shorts.

Has to be rechecked later. But probably not far as good as the 1979 TV series starring Thomas Ohrner and Horst Frank. Both characters are obviously much better there.

"Prodannyy Smekh" (1981) also needs to be checked and has historical clothes as well.

Update: Axel Munthe – Der Arzt von San Michele

I now have finally checked this complete movie (at high speed) after it appears on my top posts without pic. Unfortunately in quite bad image quality on YouTube. (Pics are adjusted).

I only noticed 2 very brief scenes of interest. First some kids (boys) at around 20 minutes playing far in the background. At least one boy in a sailor suit (previouly I only knewn the girl) and another kid in a blue suit (close up but rear view). Also of course many grown-ups in historical 1890s clothes including hats.

The girl in a short, white sailor dress, short collar flap and dark pigtails at around 1h26.

Still rating (3)-4.
