–Comment: At least one boy in I think short buckskin (or even smooth finished?)  Lederhosen and long stockings. Not sure if they are Lederhosen but it looks like on other pics. There's also another boy, not sure if in Lederhosen as well. Also both peeing on top of a statue while a girl is watching.

Looks like a rare movie and I found it by coincidence. English title: The Land Beyond the Rainbow. There's a DVD on amazon for $ 170 or 380 EUR.

Starring Winfried Glatzeder. Not sure about the boy's name. Maybe Thomas Ewert.

I hope for a soon broadcasting. Interesting apocalyptic, surreal fantasy movie.

Rating 8-9 for now.

Mooi! Weer De Leeuw (The Sound of Music)

–Comment: This must be from the 12 hour long special Paul 25 anniversary "De marathon" episode showing the von Trapp children. Probably the Dutch cast of the musical "The Sound of Music" maybe in the amusement park De Efteling and other places from 2008-2010.

As usual the costumes are rather simple. White sailor collars. The oldest boy Friedrich wears long beige pants, Kurt shorter dark blue pants or knickers. Note the girl has 2 additional vertical stripes on the collar. Blue white striped shirts/dickeys.

There are also 2 earlier and one later Dutch musical (maybe even more of interest).

I haven't seen this musical. But I assume also the 2 boys in Lederhosen or similar and maybe other sailor suits and dresses.

Rating 3 for this scene.

The other orphaned girl in bib overalls is more of interest. And in the 1982 version there are boys in overalls and Annie in a white sailor dress (for both movies also see my overalls blog, rating 6 and 5).

I think rather few scenes. And as I prefer males, rating 3 only.

Pachín almirante

–Comment: Singer Angelito (Ángel Gómez Mateo) as Pachín and other boys in long white sailor suits with dark blue collars, 3 stripes. White sailor hats. Also good bunk bed scenes.

He did at least 2 other movies but this is most likely from this 2nd movie Pachín almirante. There are short clips of the songs on YouTube without naming the movie titles.

I don't know all the movies and so can't say much more about the amount of scenes. I have to recheck them later.

Rating 5 for now.

Update: Zweiohrküken

Has been aired yesterday. One of the worst movies (even for a romance) I have ever seen (IMDb rating 5.7) Probably only famous because of the actors and the 1st movie (but that is true for many movies). Extremely boring. Only some few scenes and minutes that are quite good (besides the sailor suits), mainly at the beginning or the puppet theater.

So there are 2 boys in sailor suits and maybe one girl in sailor-like clothes. Around 3 brief scenes (beginning and end). Most scenes are from a distance and few rear views.

Best is the darkhaired boy with the medium blue collar (dark blue short pants). The blond boy wearing a white collar with many dark blue stripes (collar appears light blue from a distance). Grey shorts, scene from the beginning. Both in similar white/blue striped blouses.

Kids are very young. Movie previously rated 4, now (2-)3 for the sailor suits and 1-(2) for the movie itself. At least it's quite rare showing boys in sailor suits in a modern movie.

Update 3: Krempoli

Now I have completely seen the DVDs. Rating 7-8 is correct. Many good scenes of Lederhosen, mainly 11 yo Thomas. First appearance of him in short Lederhosen (and long red stockings) in ep 5 but then very often. Also good soaking wet scenes in Lederhosen (also another boy in wet blue overalls, rating 7).

Thomas is tall and very thin. Wolfgang would be much better in Lederhosen. He's pictured in pic 2 on the right wearing short yellow pants with a belt. And also other strange 70s long pants. (So historical as well suitable for this blog).

I don't like the 70s. Long haircuts, flared legs, strange clothes, colors and glasses. Lederhosen are timeless.

–Comment: Brief scene of 3 boys in costumes/traditional clothes from Suisse and Germany (and other countries). Schuhplatter in the German part. I haven't noticed Austria here. Scenes from song "Dansen" (?) from Kinderen voor Kinderen 14 (1993).

Very few and brief scenes. So for Lederhosen rating 3-4 only.

Much better are other songs and other episodes, some showing bib overalls (other blog up to rating 8) and also other clothes like shiny shorts, speedos and the like.

Most kids are handsome and many catchy tunes. So a perfect show rating 9-10. I still have to check the recent years and only know some shows of the 80s and 90s. Quite rare. You won't expect Lederhosen and Schuhplattler in a Dutch show.

Update 2: Krempoli

As announced I have bought this DVD set and maybe it's better than thought. Also very good bib overalls scenes including peeing (now rating 7-8 instead of 6, see my other blog). Also more boys in Lederhosen.

Pic 1 is from ep 1 with some kids in short Lederhosen running out of school but very brief scene (but also rear view shown). The image quality is quite poor, at least on a PC.

Pic 2 showing 11 yo blond Kurt Rudolph as Thomas in longer Lederhosen (very often shown) in ep 2. He looks a bit older to me. Filmed in or around Munich in 1974.

I only have checked ep 1-3 yet. Other scenes of interest next to the overalls are a boy shirtless and barefoot in green sport shorts and also a skinny dipping scene.

For Lederhosen currently rating 6 but I think I have to give at least rating 7. More updates later.
