–Comment: Hallie Kate Eisenberg as 6 yo blind and deaf-mute girl in a long, light blue sailor dress with a white collar, pointed both at the front and rear and a very long collar flap, almost reaching to her hips. Unfortunately she has long hair, often hiding the collar. I think also few scenes in that dress. (She also wears another dress without collar).

Disturbing movie, based on the 1903 autobiography by Helen Keller and 1959 Broadway play.

Interesting and rare sailor dress. But I don't like this girl.

Rating 2-3 only.

I haven't found sailor dresses in the 1962 nor the 1979 movie or plays.

Momella - Eine Farm in Afrika

–Comment: At least 2 of the 4 kids in different light blue/white sailor suits (and dresses ?). Based on the life of Margarete Trappe (played by Christine Neubauer) who emigrated to Africa in 1907.

The young blonde boy (Rolf or Ulrich ?) around 5 yo with a white jacket and light blue collar (3 white stripes). The other darkhaired kid with a straw hat looks more like a girl, but could be Ulrich (obviously longer hair under the hat), but could be around 7 or 8 yo with a blue white striped blouse and a dark blue, regular collar with 3 white stripes. One older pigtailed girl, obviously the oldest, Ursula, born 1909, around 10 yo not in a sailor dress (in this pic). The 4th kid is either not yet born or unpictured here (maybe shown or shown later ?, could be the 2nd son, either 2 years younger or older). The youngest (real) kid, a girl is born 8 years later than Ursula in 1927, so most likely the kid missing.

I can't say much more but assume few good scenes, maybe in one episode only. The boy on the right is very young.

Available on DVD but currently mostly very expensive (>50 EUR). I hope for a soon broadcasting or upload. Also starring Horst Janson.

Rating 3 for now only. Interesting plot though.

–Comment: Austrian, freckled Manuel Guggenberger in longer buckskin Lederhosen with H-style suspenders. Pics from s1e10, also being grapped by the suspenders. Also men in Lederhosen. Probably more episodes (shorter Lederhosen ?) and other boys well. But he mostly wore jeans. In pic 2 he wears a backpack so looks like additional straps.

How on Earth could I forget this series? My favourite modern Heimatfilm series.

After finding Oliver Grober in "Hallo, Onkel Doc!" (overalls blog rating 5) I come to this series where he also starred (s5e1, double episode, unknown if in Lederhosen, obviously not). I still have to check more episodes. But probably Maxl wore Lederhosen less frequently and only on special occasions when he got older in later seasons. I also remember shirtless scenes of Maxl in jeans wearing perfume.

Rating at least 7-8 for now.

There is also a later 2008 series with different actors and doctor, but not far as good as this one. (Maybe some episodes ?)

Finally another TV Heimatfilm and Lederhosen film. Aka "Herzschnitt". I found it by coincidence during research. Filmed in Austria in 2012 but German movie and (partly German actors) , boy born in Vienna. Profile here

–Comment: Peter Garbas around 15 or 16 (exact age unknown) in a long sailor suit. White blouse, blue collar and cap. Also later as cowboy and often in dark jeans (also dancing alone). I think earlier also in a long night shirt.

Has been aired yesterday (I missed the beginning). Almost 2 hours (without commercials). Starring Henry Vahl.

Still quite funny but I didn't used to watched these shows maybe except as a child when there's nothing else on TV. But he only appeared in this episode.

Only one brief scene in sailor suit around in the middle of the show. Also playing on the floor and Heide Kabel's arm around his neck and collar.

Available even on DVD (but the image quality should be quite bad, probably the same as the broadcast).

Somehow he reminds me of Dragonfly of The Sugar Creek Gang. Quite tall, blond short hair. It's quite rare for a teen boy wearing a sailor suit in the 60s even in Hamburg.

She also wears a red short dress and a dark blue collar and dark blue dickey in s2e13.

Also starring Brandon Cruz (pic 2) and several other boys in jeans.

Based on the famous 1963 movie starring Ronnie Howard. Both also soon on my bedroom blog.

During research for vintage, (Christian) children's books, I also found these (Sorry, most books are with bib overalls, very soon on my other blog).

Please note, that I don't know these books. So it's possible and likely that there are no mentionings (or illustrations) of Lederhosen and sailor suits (as they were normal clothes these days). And the Schlüpp kids are maybe very young (3 boys depictured on book 1). Therefor many books are about spanking.

Currently I'm reading Enid Blyton books. There are some very good TV adventure series with boys and girls in bib overalls and shorts. More books

–Comment: I only found 2 boys in sailor suits (but mainly the boy in pic 1+2 is shown, scene starting at 8 minutes) short, but wide dark collar and matching dickey. 2 thicker white stripes and 2 thinner stripes between them (both on collar and dickey). Short dark pants. One other boy at school with a white collar and dickey at the end 1h24.

Quite good movie and plot. Novel by Sandor Tatay. English title: Guns and Doves.

I like classics (even set earlier) and school scenes. He almost looks like Alfalfa (Carl Switzer from Our Gang / Little Rascals.

But there are better movie.

So rating 4-5 only.
