-Comment: Many boys and girls around 12 yo in sailor suits on a boat. Obviously blue collars, 3 stripes. White cap, no dickeys, mostly no scarves. Also other clothes with scarves and scenes elsewhere like at school.
At least one girl with a good scene of a flying up collar.
No entry on IMDb. Russian title "Буйная ватага". Original title Дяджял дястя (Dyadzhyal dyastya) Dəcəl Dəstə.
Completetly on YouTube, but I don't remember much of it. 54 minutes.
Quite interesting and some handsome kids. But most collars are rather short.
Rating 3-4.

Oeroeg
Drama starring Joeroen Krabbe
-Year: 1993
-Year in film: 1939, earlier
-Country: Indonesia, B, NL
-Who in clothing: Johan ~9, boys, sailor suit
-Who in clothing 2: other clothes
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Clothing occurrence: medium
-Rating: 7/10 ?
-Rating: *******
-Comment: The main character, Young Johan (Joris Putman, pic 1, 2 and 3 on right) in a short white sailor suit with a blue and also white collar, and I think at least 2 other boys in sailor suits. Also the title character boy in Indonesian clothes and also men in War clothes.
One with a white collar and one blond boy with a very long blue collar flap (pic 2). Johan also wearing a pullover over the sailor suit with the blue collar (pic 3) what is very rare. With the white collar wearing a blue scarf looking looking like a tie. Both collars aren't very long, the white one is a bit wider. Both 3 stripes.
Very interesting movie with a Dutch history on YouTube, maybe I have seen it on TV then (I also have some similar entries but I don't like these colony settings). I like white collars and long collars. Unfortunately only few scenes of the long collars and also the jacket.
Several good sailor suit scenes. Pic 1 at 23 minutes, pic 2 at 1h04, pic 3 at 27 minutes, pic 4 at 58 minutes. English title Going Home. 1948 novel by Hella S. Haasse.
Rating 7-8 for now.

Had been aired yesterday and can be watched on the ZDF mediathek.
I missed around the first half but I haven't found any younger boys in Lederhosen at a quick recheck.
Typical modern Heimatfilm with a preacher, not that bad. For a long time I haven't seen a new one.
Rating 3.

Update: Der ganz große Traum
I now have checked this movie on YouTube (at high speed). Probably it's worth to be watched on DVD or even the big screen.
I think just 3 or 4 boys in sailor suits. 2 or 3 at school in dark blue sailor suits, at least is a jacket for outside with integrated collar (2 white stripes only). One has a light blue sailor suit and collar. The others wearing different historical clothes including caps (pic 3).
Quite rare is playing soccer in a sailor suit. And a very early setting (1874).
Quite good movie, still rating 5. Main entry at

Update 3: Löwengrube
As announced one last update of the TV series Löwengrube (rating 9).
Pic 1 showiing a young boy in beige buckskin Lederhosen with H-style suspenders set in I think 1934 (YouTube D4 2). Pic 2 showing a boy in a short dark blue sailor suit with a striped dickey and white stockings (there's also an older teen girl in a blue sailor dress, set in the 1910s or 1900s (D1 4). Both are unfortunately very brief scenes.
I also found the school scene (sailor suits in my first update) a very brief scene in D4 1 (episode Frühlingsanfang set in 1933.
The later Lederhosen scenes are of course much better.

Moonrise Kingdom
Comedy film
-Year: 2012
-Year in film: 1965
-Country: USA
-Who in clothing: boys ~10 shorts
-Who in clothing 2:
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Clothing occurrence: often ?
-Rating: 6/10 ?
-Rating: ******
-Comment: Several boy scouts in 1960s scout shorts (green, brown and beige), yellow scarves and different hats.
Not Lederhosen but similar and historical clothes.
I found this by coincidence and it looks like an interesting movie (I haven't seen it completetly yet).
Starring Bruce Willis and Bill Murray; even nominated for an Oscar.
Maybe rating 5-6 for now.

Story 96: sailor collar rectangled at front and accessories
I have more carefully rechecked the beginning of the series Löwengrube (another update including Lederhosen coming soon).
Pic 1 showing a boy I think set around the 1900s (YouTube: D1 4). He wears a short sailor suit, white blouse and blue pants and a dark blue usual sailor collar. I think It's the same boy as in my recent update, there rear view, full body.
He also wears a white shirt or dickey with a usual (non-sailor) collar but a dark blue or black additional neckwear accessory underneath looking like a moustache. I don't know how this is called. A band or part of a necktie or almost a bow tie. Maybe a collar stay? I have to recheck name and function. I haven't seen that before (in combination with a sailor collar).
He also put on a napkin and he later wears a backpack over the collar (same episode).
Pic 2 showing a teen girl with a sailor collar, squared at front (looking the same as the rear flap). YouTube D2 1, I think in the early 1930s. I have seen these kind of sailor collars before. But quite rare and I think mostly worn by young women. Here we have one thinner and one thicker stripe.
Main entry (Lederhosen and sailor suit, rating 9)
/2013/04/14/lowengrube/
One boy in a collar squared at front is in Buddenbrooks (1959)
Maybe I have to add squared collars to my collar list including unusual collars.

Sune på bilsemester
Family film
-Year: 2013
-Year in film: 2010s ?
-Country: Sweden
-Who in clothing: boy Sune ~11 ?, men Lederhosen
-Who in clothing 2: girl overalls
-Available on DVD: yes
-I own: no
-Clothing occurence: very low ?
-Rating: 3/10 ?
-Rating: ***
-Comment: An older boy, I think the main character played by William Ringström, his younger brother and his dad in "Sound of Music" -like Lederhosen (probably not of leather) supposed to made out of green curtains. His dad has H-style suspenders. At least an older man in ordinary long buckskin Lederhosen. Maybe more actors? Also a girl in bib overalls (on my other blog rating 3). Set in Tyrol during a vacation.
I haven't seen the complete movie, so I can't say much more. Pic is from a behind the scenes vid. This scene is very close to the original Sound of Music (1965, rating 8, also see those entries here). Walking on the grass on all four legs like a dog (good rear view). He is also holding his hands in front of his Lederhosen in the behind the scenes.
I have to recheck the complete movie.
As they are no real Lederhosen, rating 3 for now only.
There are also other movies in this series, but I don't assume Lederhosen there.

Medvezhonok
TV drama
-Year: 1981
-Year in film: 1910s
-Country: Soviet Union
-Who in clothing: boy ~8 sailor suit
-Who in clothing 2:
-Available on DVD: no ?
-I own: no
-Clothing occurrence: low ??
-Rating: 6/10 ?
-Rating: ******
-Comment: At least one young handsome boy (around 8-10 yo) with curly dark hair in a short light blue sailor suit with white stripes and white stockings and shoes.
Quite rare movie; Russian title "Медвежонок" what means little bear or teddy bear. There's also a different animated movie with the same title and same year. Actor maybe Валерий Минаев (Valery Minaev as Mischa) or Константин Перфилов (Konstantin Perfilov). No entry on IMDb (I also have checked some of the grown-up names). Directed by Vyacheslav Prokopenko (Вячеслав Прокопенко). Novel by Sergei Sergeyev-Tsensky / Sergeĭ Nikolaevich Sergeev-T︠S︡enskiĭ (Сергеев-Ценский, Сергей Николаевич).
Looks very interesting. I hope to find it some day on YouTube.
Rating (5-)6 for now.

Info 197: Yesterday on TV
First a documentary about the Romanovs on ZDF Info (ZDF-History: Bruderkrieg der Könige). Some few mainly colorized pics of Alexei in a sailor suit. Very interesting docu for those who don't know the plot about him, his parents, Rasputin, Henry V and Tsar Nikolaus II, Kaiser Wilhelm II. I didn't remember that the 3 were cousins.
Then on NDR: Unsere Geschichte: Meine Kindheit im Harz. Some b&w footage of mainly younger boys in Lederhosen (with suspenders) also at least one teen boy in buckskin Lederhosen without suspenders. Few interesting scenes (often in the distance, or behind a table or similar); I already have deleteted it. Please do a blog search "Meine Kindheit" for other episodes of that.
