The 1996 version starring Neve Campbell and Patrick Stewart as the ghost had been aired recently. I checked other versions mainly for bedroom scenes in that castle but wasn't much succesful yet.

I can't say much more about it. I haven't found any other pics with them in sailor suits. There is a clip of them showing night shirts or similar.

Most (modern) movies don't show them in sailor suits although there are illustrations of them in the original short story by Oscar Wilde.

There are a lot of movies of this subject. Most famous maybe the 1944 version. But main character besides the ghost is a girl.

Rating 4-5 for now. (Also to check the 1975 version)

I found this long time ago and want to get rid of this and add this for the sake of completion. I don't know much about this movie. Sorry, I don't know Japanese. Probably a typical school drama.

Original title "われら劣等生" what means We Fools. I hope that's the right title. Starring Akira Adachi (安達明) born 1948 who is also a female singer, song Haru o matsu shôjo, Ayumi Ishida and Katsue Takaishi (高石かつ枝 born 1946 also a singer).

Tage des Sturms + Löwengrube.

Tage des Sturms aka 17. Juni 1953 (pictured) had been aired today. Unfortunately I missed about the first half. At least I saw 2 brief scenes with the boy pictured. Unlike the dark smooth finish suspenders, the Lederhosen are of light brown buckskin leather.

Thomas (10 yo?) looking much younger. I have to recheck it and hope for a rebroadcasting.

Löwengrube s3e2 had been aired today. Still set in 1950.

Only one notable scene of another boy, about 9 or 10 yo in buckskin Lederhosen playing in the background. (No need for another pic.) Also other boys playing in shorts.

Novel "Pierre et Jean" by Guy de Maupassant. (I also have to check the other movies with that title).

English title: "A Woman Without Love".

I think I don't like this movie. The sailor suit scene is not bad but very brief.

So rating 3-4 only.

Anna and the King (1972)

Also starring at least one other boy (Brian Tochi as Prince Chulalongkorn but I haven't seen him in a sailor suit). Also lots of other Asian kids in typical Asian costumes.

I found it by coincidence and only found few clips and pics. Both pics are taken from the trailer (intro). IMDb missing the link of the character Louis Leonowens to match the other Anna and the King entries.

I have to check this complete series and also the other Anna and the King movies.

German DVD released in 2013.

Update: I found most episodes online. The collar appears much darker than in the trailer. And the neckline is at high position (despite this, the collar flap is short). Obviously much fewer scenes than first assumed.

-Comment: A very young boy in dark, maybe nappa Lederhosen with H-style suspendors. 2 brief scenes. As yet unknown. His is also being held by his mother, hanging over her shoulder. One brief scene of 2 boys, about 9 yo wearing shorts and knickers.

Hermann, now ~15 yo not in Lederhosen but short and tight grey shorts of thin cotton fabric. First credited as Florian Boos (I haven't found any pics of him, and not sure if it's maybe a different older Hermann later). One woman in a sailor style sweater but probably no long collar.

WWII is over in season 3 and I hope for better scenes the following episodes.

-Comment: Hermann, now older (still uncredited, update probably Florian Boos, see s3e1 in shorts there), looks like 14, in a bit longer buckskin Lederhosen, medium brown smooth finish H-style suspenders. Also a young boy about 5-6 yo in shorter buckskin Lederhosen.

Hermann inside and outside, front and rear view. 2 very good scenes. Also sitting at a table (Lederhosen looking much shorter), but not much to see because of a table. Some touching scenes (meeting his father after WWII) and also a romantic looking scene.

Only a brief scene of the much younger boy, also running towards the camera but out of foucus.

I'm very curious about the 3rd season starting next week, set in the 50s. And I hope to see the first season some time with 1900s setting and also showing sailor suits.
