And yet another Alexei Romanov movie. Unfortunately a short film (15 minutes) and the boy looking quite old and not very handsome. Directed by French Geoffroy Faugérolas, also starring Mark Moses.

Nesthäkchen – update 3

One more update of this nice family TV series (rating 9). This time showing some more and different actors and sailor suits. For more infos and (better) pics of boys and girl also in Lederhosen see the other posts. There are many, very good scenes (mainly sailor suits) and I could make more posts but I think that's enough.

Die Fledermaus (1946)

–Comment: One handsome boy in a short blue sailor suit, white-blue striped blouse, long grey stockings. Very brief scene at 5 minutes. No full rear view.

Happy Easter!

This is a very good scene. Based on the operetta by Johann Strauss, English title The Bat. Directed by Géza von Bolváry and partly a DEFA production. Filmed in 1944 (where sailor suits were still quite common and so not a costume) but obviously set in the 1870s like the operetta. Luckily already in color.

I like this sailor suit but for the brief scene rating 5-6 only.

There are also other movies based on the operatta and some are more famous like the 1962 version but probably no boys in there.

Wir Nachkriegskinder - ep 2

–Comment: The short scene pictured is narrated by soccer star Uwe Seeler playing soccer after WWII around 1945. Not sure if the blond boy in Lederhosen showing him, but probably. Scene at 9 minutes H-style suspenders.

Most scenes are colorized. At the end one boy in longer shorts maybe buckskin Lederhosen as well (no suspenders shown), looks like a commercial.

As usual, German celebrities talking about their childhood after the War. This time other people, mainly actors. Scenes are about the mid 40s and 50s. Subtitle Zeit der Wunder.

Unfortunately only this brief scene but I like it. So rating 4. Doing sports in Lederhosen is a good idea. Available on the ZDF mediathek.

–Comment: 2 boys in white sailor suits and blue collars. I think they are Jerome and Christopher Watts as Prince Eddy (Albert Victor *1864 ?) and Prince George (George V. *1865) . Very brief scene in ep 7 Dearest Prince. This headshot and from a distance. Also this and other boys in regular suits in ep 2 and a lady in a white sailor dress, blue collar in ep 12.

I found it during research for more Alexei Tsarevich Romanov movies. He should starring in here (played by Bruce Purchase) but I haven't found him. Born in 1938 he's too old, maybe it's Alexander III. IMDb entries are getting more and more wrong.

Boys are quite handsome at least the one on the left.

–Comment: At least one boy, maybe Hark Quedens or one of his brothers in short, smooth finish Lederhosen playing with a football. Also in speedos. His younger sister without clothes. Also at least 2 kids in shortalls and overalls. Ep 77.

Has been aired today. Subtitle "Eine Jugend auf Super 8" Subtitle of the series Unsere Geschichte - Was den Norden bewegte. Maybe some episodes are part of the series "Meine Kindheit..." (see also my other posts, blog search).
I haven't seen it completetly yetbut only noticed a very brief scene at 15 minutes. Pic 3 earlier. I think also a girl in Lederhosen.

Yet another childhood documentary but this time finally smooth finish Lederhosen and in color. Set on the island Amrum in Northern Germany. Handsome boy, good scenes and smooth finish means rating 8. Some other episodes might be also of interest.

Update: Now completetly seen. One more brief scene of the boy in smooth finish Lederhosen on a beach (not shirtless, side view at 22 min.). 2 younger brothers (7-8 yo) without clothes front+rear. And the younger sisster in Lederhosen with H-style suspenders was here near the beginning but also very brief.

Available as MOD from the broadcaster but as very expensive Mitschnittservice.

One other episode of "Unsere Geschichte" is Meine Kindheit in der Schule, rating 8 as well but b&w.

Pic 2 showing many kids at a parade in East Germany in 1957. At the end a very young boy in short Lederhosen (scene in color as well). All pics from ep 1 "Leben in Trümmern"  Series subtitle Zeit des Aufbruchs.

Yet another typical historical documentary. Most footage scenes are of course b&w obviously filmed in the mid 1940s directly after WWII. And many scenes set in the Eastern part of Germany. So very few Lederhosen (maybe next episode which is also set in the 50s and maybe 60s aired next Tuesday)

One brief scene of the 1957 movie "Heute blau und morgen blau" with Fritz and Elmar, Elmar in blue shorts. As usual lots of interview scenes.

There are better documentaries.
