–Comment: Pic 1 showing actor brothers Fritz and Elmar Wepper in the mid 1950s, one of them (looks like Fritz) in buckskin Lederhosen with H-style suspenders, obviously colorized. Pic 2 showing many kids at a parade in East Germany in 1957. At the end a very young boy in short Lederhosen (scene in color as well). All pics from ep 1 "Leben in Trümmern"  Series subtitle Zeit des Aufbruchs.

Yet another typical historical documentary. Most footage scenes are of course b&w obviously filmed in the mid 1940s directly after WWII. And many scenes set in the Eastern part of Germany. So very few Lederhosen (maybe next episode which is also set in the 50s and maybe 60s aired next Tuesday)

One brief scene of the 1957 movie "Heute blau und morgen blau" with Fritz and Elmar, Elmar in blue shorts. As usual lots of interview scenes.

There are better documentaries.

Madicken

–Comment: Fist the main character, girl Madicken in a blue striped sailor dress, blue sailor collar, squared at the front, 2 white stripes in Germany's ep 3 (pic 4). And some boys in and outside the school in different sailor suits Also others in historical clothes of the 1910s. Typical Swedish series, novels by Astrid Lindgren.

Pic 1 showing a blond, chubby boy in a light blue striped sailor suit with a white long collar and 3 stripes in ep 8. Some more boys in this episodes in interesting sailor suits, one boy in a pink-white or red striped sailor suit and one in a blue white striped sailor collar, rectangled at the front (behind the other boy in the light blue shirt).

Pic 3 is from ep 9 showing a very young boy in a sailor suit and an older boy who is often shown in other historical clothes. Unpictured a boy in a dark green grey suit and matching collar and black pants in ep 9 and earlier.

In total rather few scenes. Earlier scenes at school showing I think nobody in regular sailor suits. Also girls with no clothes at all.

I think the series is not on DVD but 2 movies which are short versions (like other Lindgren series). 1st one is called "Du är inte klok, Madicken" English title You're Out of Your Mind, Maggie.

Rating 7-8.

Nesthäkchen - update 2

I have recently rechecked this series. There are many interesting scenes of boys and girl both wearing sailor suits and Lederhosen. I even have to make one more update later. Definitely worth buying on DVD but mainly for sailor suits.

Pic 1 showing the main character Annemarie, around 9 or 10 yo and a man in Lederhosen in ep 2. There are also at least 2 boys in Lederhosen. Unfortunatley rather few scenes and mainly in the background (see main entry).

Pic 2 showing her younger brother in a short white sailor suit. Very good scenes in and outside the train in ep 2. He wears long white pants on Christmas.

Pic 3 showing several girls doing sports in sailor suits (not dresses) in ep 4. Good rear view walking in a line. Also the female teacher in a blue sailor suit and blue collar.

Pic 4 showing the beach scene from ep 6 I already mentioned. There are 3 or 4 boys in sailor suit one is fighting with the girl on the ground. Interesting is the collar of the boy rectangled at the front what is quite rare. I think that kind is mainly shown in French movies.

Pic 1 showing a very handsome blond boy in a white sailor suit but with a black jacket and hat (ep 3), there's also a view of clothes on the ground including a blue sailor collar. Also shown without a hat and with other brown, poor clothes.

Pic 2+3 showing another blond boy in a very short, light blue sailor suit and a white collar (one thick blue stripe), and long black stockings in ep 2.

Pic 4 showing a girl in a light red, longer sailor dress and a white collar and scarf (ep 3). Also a woman in ep 2.

There's also a darkhaired boy in a brown suit and lots of supporting actors. Also an interesting bedroom (soon on my other blog, rating 4).

Interesting, but all scenes are very short. So rating 5 only.

–Comment: At least Andreas Schmidt as 12 yo but older looking Alwin in at least buckskin Lederhosen (without suspenders), also cycling on them.

Quite interesting but obviously rather typical movie. The boy is not that handsome. But his Lederhosen are not bad. I even considered bying the DVD but I think I rather wait for an upload or broadcasting. 1971 novel by Bernd Wolff.

Rating 5-6 for now.

Das Land hinter dem Regenbogen

–Comment: At least one boy in I think short buckskin (or even smooth finished?)  Lederhosen and long stockings. Not sure if they are Lederhosen but it looks like on other pics. There's also another boy, not sure if in Lederhosen as well. Also both peeing on top of a statue while a girl is watching.

Looks like a rare movie and I found it by coincidence. English title: The Land Beyond the Rainbow. There's a DVD on amazon for $ 170 or 380 EUR.

Starring Winfried Glatzeder. Not sure about the boy's name. Maybe Thomas Ewert.

I hope for a soon broadcasting. Interesting apocalyptic, surreal fantasy movie.

Rating 8-9 for now.
