–Comment: Holger Thaarup (or is it his older film brother ? but I don't think so) shirtless in probably buckskin longer Lederhosen with H-style suspenders. Brief scene on a stage play at the beginning of the movie. 37 minutes awarded short film. English title: The Boy Who Walked Backwards.

The horizontal suspender strap is very high. I have seen that before and maybe this are (costumes) of 1900s clothes. At the end kids in jeans at school.

Few scenes and he looks even younger. Rating 3-4.

Happy New Year!

I finally have checked the complete movie. 1 or 2 boys in short Lederhosen and rather few scenes (one brief at beginning, some longer scenes in the middle and end). Best scenes of Lederhosen and sailor suits in the middle of the movie (all pics). I think it's Peter dancing in short Lederhosen in pic 1.

Sailor collars are wide and of typical length (and color).

Pic 2 also showing the black main character as Gretl in a dress and a blond wig with pigtails. The other boy has just taken off his wig.

Some handsome boys (pic 3) and another blond boy. Fewer scenes than assumed (half of the movie with sailor suits, and mainly the longer Lederhosen of the black boy). Haircutting and dressing on the suit (with the collar attached) of him. Still rating 7.

Wainde Wane in longer buckskin Lederhosen (without suspenders) with patina. And boys as the Vienna Boys Choir (Wiener Sängerknaben) in white and black sailor suits (good blue collars). Also 2 boys in dresses. And 1 or 2 in short Lederhosen. Also the boys in sport clothes (black shorts).

It's not a usual documentary but a real movie set in 1955. Looks quite interesting.

I can't say much more and will update this after the broadcast.

Update: Very good movie. Some handsome boys. I even considered rating 8 (mainly for sailor suits), but I decided to give just 7.

I recorded it but didn't had the time to check all at slow speed. Few interesting scenes in the second half. White sailor suits at the end. Also good dorm scenes (soon on my other blog).

–Comment: One boy in a dark blue sailor suit (3/4th length), dark blue collar with 3 stripes and Gregoire and Thomas Souverain as Simon et Garfunkel in white sailor suits and collars (one thick, one thin stripe). 3 brief scenes with close-up sailor suits, some more from a distance. One boy bathing in long johns (good, but brief wet scenes front +rear), another boy in a short union suit, but from a distance.

Also many kids in grown-up western clothes and some scenes of boys in overalls (see my other blogs).

Good and rare and funny kids western. Some handsome boys. But for sailor suits rating 3 only. Best is the bathtub scene (at 27 minutes). There's also a whipping scene.

I have checked this movie some time ago and don't remember it.

I think I haven't noticed any other in Lederhosen and this boy is very young and I think rather few scenes. Available on an Agnes Kraus compilation DVD.

So rating 3-4 for now only.

It was time for another sailor suit entry.

Quite typical sailor suits, but rare and late setting in the 1950s and even (for the most parts ?) in Egypt. English title: "Two Kids and the Pyramids" and "An Egyptian Story".

Maybe quite good for it's time. But there are better movies.

I think many scenes, but rating 3-4 only.
